LANSING, Mich. – Mitt Romney, in what may prove an unfortunate choice of words, has taken to referring to Michigan as "ground zero" .. <snip> .. many – including not a few in the Romney campaign – also believe this state could be the ground zero where his 2008 presidential hopes are reduced to rubble.

Standing in prime position in the final weeks of pre-primary campaigning, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee seems poised to potentially rout his two major contenders, candidates Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney in the upcoming caucuses. There is reason for Huckabee’s recent rise to Republican stardom. The former Arkansas governor combines an unmistakable realism with both heroic and social conservatism. This unique combination plays well among a broad Republican base, and its implication for foreign policy is noteworthy. <snip> Meanwhile, his penchant for heroic conservatism, a concept coined by President Bush’s former speechwriter Michael Gerson, is palpable. According to Gerson, what...

There is a power that everyone is affected by. Some recognize its wrath and other’s have a way of exerting its power. There are two sides of every coin. And in this country it seems more like a rubrics cube of varying theories for every issue. The current events this past week in news were merely variations of people using the power of words and images to convey either their feelings or what they want the public to believe they feel. My purpose in writing today is to remind us all to take the time to consider what news is...

South Dakota state legislature has just approved an abortion ban, which allows for exceptions only to save the life of the mother. This past Monday Governor Mike Rounds signed the bill, which means, as of July 1, 2006 it will be a felony for any doctor to perform an abortion in the state of South Dakota. Not only did this governor sign this legislation, but he made plain that there are many other state governors that are saying they would do the same in their state. So it’s no surprise to see Mississippi and Missouri falling in line proposing similar...

My husband and I are Junior High Youth Pastors at a local church where we get the opportunity to be a part of some amazing young people’s lives. It’s a beautiful thing. We love the kids we get to hang out with and are praying that they would know their worth and not miss their potential. But so many things are facing them daily. Each week as we take time to prepare a message to share I realize, no one thing that I say is going to be a cure-all statement for the many challenges in their lives. We took...

The American View In late January four members of congress traveled to Afghanistan to survey the situation. They were welcomed warmly and spoke with many different officials in that country. The leader of religious affairs in Afghanistan asked for the United States’ continued support as he thanked us for all that has been done thus far. In his requests he quoted Mohammed as saying this, “You will never become a good Muslim until you first want for others what you want for yourself.” He was of course showing his gratitude to Americans for giving to the Middle Eastern Countries and...

Did anyone see the show "Without a Trace" on CBS tonight? Below is my wife's complaint that she sent to CBS. That show was the most unbelievable twisted hate propaganda I have ever seen comprised out of only the mind of a abortion minded activist This anti-Christian or as they have labeled extremist terrorist motivation, can only come through the minds of guilt ridden abortioneers. This is so close to what really happened to an abortionist by the Abortion activists when he tried to get out of practicing abortions, by the real extremists Abortion provokers and providers and profiteers. I'm...

IsraelBehindTheNews.com 12th September, 2003 "Slaughtering the Dove of Peace"Kaare KristiansenFormer Norwegian Nobel Committee Member Yassir Arafat's plot to get rid of his so-called "Palestinian Prime Minister", Mahmoud Abbas, has caused further deterioration in the Middle East crises that previously threatened the realization of the "Road Map". The dove of peace is already on the butcher's block. The unbelievable and cruel paradox is that the butcher who brandishes the axe is the very man who some years ago was awarded the most prestigious peace prize in the world: The Nobel Peace Prize. I am sorry to ascertain that, unfortunately, all...

PEGGY NOONAN The President Within George W. Bush is downright Trumanesque. Friday, November 16, 2001 12:01 a.m. EST He walked into history an obscure, flat footed, bantamy little fellow in a light gray suit, the inhabitant of an eloquence-free zone who gave boring speeches in a flat voice. He was not compelling. This was more obvious because he followed a charismatic leader who did big things and filled the screen. He was quickly defined and dismissed by the opinion elite as "a first-rate second-rate man." And maybe at the beginning he feared the appraisal was correct, for when ...
