Certain subatomic particles appear to be able to move faster than the speed of light, but then again, the Theory of Relativity has not been applied successfully to the quantum world, at least not entirely.
There was a time in the recent past when many astonomers were confused by the fact that some stars appeared to be older than the presumed age of the actual universe, but later realized that it was an observational anomaly, as you put it. I think this may turn out to be a similar instance.
Can you imagine the outrage from the left if some conservative announced that he wished he could mow down liberals with his guns? They would be howling that conservatives are crazy, evil, Nazis, etc. The hypocrisy is sickening.
I think the Guardian published some of these letters to make Americans look like arrogent, name-calling, violent hicks...but maybe they'll think twice before they try to influence another U.S election.
Anyone who has taken even a few classes at (almost) any college/university knows the frustrating truth of this story. Though it seems a daunting task, I think conservatives can "take back" the academic world...think of how we've come to dominate the new media, and how impossible that would have seemed 15-20 years ago.

I like Hannity, he seems very true; very real. He's a bit of a boy scout, but at least he is the last man on earth who would be tarnished by scandal. Rush's painkiller problems, legal problems, divorce problems etc. make him such a target. That having been said, I still prefer Rush. He has more charisma, he's funnier, and I agree, more intellegent. He just needs to get his personal life together.
