  • UV light a promising treatment for Covid

A technique that zaps airborne viruses with a narrow-wavelength band of UV light shows promise for curtailing the person-to-person spread of COVID-19 in indoor public places. The technology, developed by Columbia University’s Center for Radiological Research, uses lamps that emit continuous, low doses of a particular wavelength of ultraviolent light, known as far-UVC, which can kill viruses and bacteria without harming human skin, eyes and other tissues, as is the problem with conventional UV light.

A Republican congressman took matters into his own hands Friday and personally removed a painting depicting police officers as pigs that a colleague had allowed to be displayed at the U.S. Capitol complex. “I was angry,” Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., told FoxNews.com. “I’ve seen the press [reporting] on this for about a week or so. … I’m in the Marine Corps. If you want it done, just call us.”

Every so often in history a man comes along who overthrows a corrupt elite and resets the political establishment. We live in such a time. In our time that man is Donald Trump. Establishment politicians, media and academics are now all united against Trump’s presidency. They are also all revealed as being more interested in protecting their power and their reputations than in principles, truth or serving the people. The rage of the elites against Trump is so obvious it’s shocking. They know that if Trump becomes president they face exposure. What the public has already seen through the leaked...

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/04/25/george-w-bush-has-saved-more-lives-than-any-american-president/ George W. Bush, not Barack Obama, is the real American hero in Africa. Take it from me, a liberal Democrat who voted for Obama twice. I know a little about Africa: I have been to the continent 17 times over the last 32 years. In particular, I have a great interest in South Sudan; I first traveled there in March 2008, and I have been back 13 since. South Sudan is the mostly Christian nation that won its independence from Sudan after a half-century of civil war; in 2011, South Sudan was admitted into the United Nations as a...
  • Assaulted by a minivan driving lib (vanity)

On the way to pick up the kids from school today, I was verbally assaulted by an unhinged libtard in a beat-up mom-mobile (minivan). I was stopped in front of the Middle School (the crossing guards had traffic stopped for the buses) and this clown drives up on my right side and motions for me to put my window down. I assumed he was going to tell me I had a low tire or something similar, but instead he launched into this profanity laced rant about my Romney/Ryan 2012 election bumper sticker (no, I haven't removed it yet). He informed...

My 8 and 9 year old lost a classmate this weekend. She, like them, was an adoptee from China. She had complications from treatment (marrow transplant) and passed away in her sleep, but that was unexpected. This is a small Christian school where all the children know each other. They had been praying for Sophia for a long time and they are struggling with understanding why, since they prayed, she died anyway. Please, if you will, pray for Sophia's family and the children of our school as they deal with this sad event.

But in these difficult financial times for the city, how does he justify continuing to often take these trips on the taxpayers' tab? And just how many places has he visited? 9 News Anchor Lance Barry is on your side with the answers. Since Mallory took office in December of 2005, he has taken more than 60 trips, almost a...

My daughter is going through a nasty divorce. Her husband is shacked up in their house with some skank he met on facebook. He kicked my daughter and his girls out into the night, she went back to Kentucky and got an apartment. He lied, took the girls to NY for a visit, kept them, and filed for custody. Per court order, they now switch the girls every 10 days. Last Monday, when they were picked up, the 21 month old had a bruise shaped like a hand and the 5 yr old said that "Daddy hit us." The court...

Greene said in a 2009 interview that she began tapping her state pension because the job switch came with a steep reduction in pay -- from $121,350 a year as a judge to $73,564 as recorder last year. "It's not double-dipping," Greene said at the time. "This is a necessity for me. How could I have afforded the lifestyle I had set for myself?" On Tuesday, Greene denied that the lawsuit has anything to do with self-interest.
