    Those who can not except God and the Genesis account can not grasp the concept that God who is all powerful could create a total working system with the lights from the stars already visible here on earth.

    But the point is, if we are observing light from a star that has taken millions of years to arrive here, then obviously the Universe is older than 6,000 years. Unless you disbelieve the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.

    I’m curious about something. Do creationists believe in the speed of light? In other words, do they accept that light travels at approximately 186,000 miles per second? If so, then do they say that there is nothing more than 6,000 light years away from earth? Do they reject the science which proves that there are objects further away from earth than that? Just wondering how they can explain away the speed of light.

    And just how many 'gov't administrations are there in DC?

    There is only one adminstration in Washington. That is the Bush administration. There are several branches of government. Judicial, Legislative, etc, etc. When Novak said that administration officials told him the story, he meant persons associated with the Bush adminstration. He never said they were not associated with the White House.

    Again. Wilson's wife was not in the witness protection program. She was not a non-person who didn't exist. Wilson did not have deny that he had a wife, nor did she have to have an alias. The problem only arose because someone leaked the fact that this woman was an undercover CIA operative.

    His own bio at the Middle east Institute names his wife: if anyone knew she worked for CIA, then she was "outed" by Wilson himself in 2002.

    Be real. The problem is not that Wilsons wife exists or has a name, but that someone gave out info about what her job is with the CIA.

    Untrue. Novak admitted in his statement this week that 2 administration officials gave him the info during the process of an interview he was conducting. He only refuted the idea that administration officials "called" him to supply him with the info.

    More horses--- for the dem spin machine.

    I admit there is spinning going on here and Rush Limbaugh is doing a lot of it by trying to change the meaning of Novaks own words this week.

    Where has it been said that Novak did not get the info from the White House but got it from CIA? If you read Novaks statement, he said only that no administration official "Called" him to give him the info. He still says that administration officials gave him the info, but that they gave it to him during the process of him interviewing them. The only thing Novak refutes is that administration officials did not "call" him to give him the info, meaning that they did not make a special effort to pass along that info, but rather it came out during an interview.

    The spinning that is going on here trying to give new meaning to Novaks words is amazing. Rush is being less than honest in his statments.

    With vonage, if my internet connection goes down, all calls are routed to my cell phone. I don't miss anything. I love the service. Have had it for over 2 months now.

    I have had the vonage service for over 2 months now. Am very satisfied with it. They do have 911 service.

    I had BellSouth and was paying $60.00 a month with no long distance. I now pay $25.00 a month and have 500 minutes of long distance each month. More than I can use.

    I highly recommend it.

    The United States is the most religious of all the industrialized nations.

    Forty-four percent of Americans attend church once a week, compared with 27 percent in Britain, 21 percent in France, 16 percent in Australia, and 4 percent in Sweden. Yet violent crime is not less common in the United States--it's more common. The murder rate here is six times higher than the rate in Britain, seven times higher than in France, five times higher than in Australia, and five times higher than in Sweden. Japan, where Christianity has almost no adherents, has less violent crime than almost any country.

    There are a few advanced nations that have high rates of church attendance and low rates of violent crime--Ireland, Italy, and Belgium--but they're the exceptions.

    Within the 50 states, there is no evidence that a God-fearing populace equals a law-abiding populace. The Bible Belt has more than its share of both praying and killing.

    Louisiana has the highest churchgoing rate in the country, but its murder rate is more than twice the national average.

    The same pattern generally holds in the rest of the South. Tom DeLay's Bible-toting state of Texas has a murder rate triple that of Massachusetts, which is "ungodly" enough to have elected two openly gay members of Congress.

    New York, the very symbol of godless depravity, is perfectly average when it comes to extralegal slaughter. In Washington state, where Sunday morning slugabeds are more common than anywhere else in America, murder is 38 percent less common.

    even if you think a right to privacy is a good idea, that's not the point. IT ISN"T IN THE CONSTITUTION period.

    The right to privacy doesn't have to be in the constitution for it to exist. Read Amendment nine from the constitution below:

    Amendment IX

    The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

    The constitution and our bill of rights is not meant to be a laundry list of what we have the right to do. The bill of rights was added to our constitution because these were the overriding concerns of people at that time. And they wanted to gurantee that the government would not deny them these rights.

    The right to privacy is one of our natural, inherent rights. For example, even if the right to free speech was not listed in the bill of rights, it would still exist.

    If enough busy-bodies such as yourself keep protesting though, we might have to add the right to privacy to our list of rights, since some people refuse to recognize it.

    I have used DSL and Cable. I much prefer cable. I have been a customer of Road Runner for about 4 years and can count on one hand the number of times the services has been down. And still have fingers left over. Cable is much faster than DSL. I also have 4 computers wirelessly networked together on the one connection and notice no slowdown at all. Even if all 4 computers are downloading at once.
