He said exactly "Raped" - iznasiloval.. not spravilsa "handle"
Why you are all discussing here russian humor? There is no any connection between Putin & russian humor... It's true that humor in russia have a huge part of sarcasm, but it just not about our president.. everything he said was very rude.

An old russian joke: Armenian old man is dying and his last words were "take care about jews".

The fact is that Gagarin was the first. Everything & everybody after that moment is a second time.Humanity will land other planets & satellites (in future). I'm sure Americans will remember their first greate result in space, but the name of Gagarin will be remembered for ages as a first human being in space...

My mother used to work near "Avtozavodskaya" station in 2003, her work started at 9 a.m. The bomb blasted at 8.40. For some hours i couldn't reach her. I couldn't belive that it was real, that i'm not sleeping & having a bad dream, at 11 finaly, i've heard her voice but i couldn't stop crying, shaking my hands. It was like you see the person leaving the home for a work & in an hour the bomb blasted. It was so close...

thank u very much for the link & by the way i've found in runet a site translated into english. The site is ab. eastern front & the period that we are in Russia use to say "The greate partiotic war" or "Greate father's war 1941-1945". There you can see a multi-media map of the actions & names of soviet vets that are still alive.

I have only some pics of my grandfathers in there uniforms. My Grandpa Alexander's brother(my dad's uncle)died near leningrad (st. petersburg) as i said 26 mln. soviet citizens died. almost each family of former USSR lost somebody & almost every family have it own WW2.

Well, i don't think so, you know, knowleges about the war used to cultivate in us since the very first grades, vets used to be ivited for a talk with children to tell them some stories ab. their war days & etc. I think the point is that for my grandpa is difficult to remember those years. Once he heard a song (an old song by Mark Bernes about the ww2) & started crying, at that moment i realized how horrible was everymoment of his war, how hard for him to remember it. Unfortunatly i was born after the death of another grandfather of mine (like a lot of people in Russia of my age, both of grandfathers were vets)about his wardays i could recognize only from the notes of his flying magazine & as my parents said he also didn't speak much about the event...

P.S. Say Hello to your father from granddaughter of two soviet vets, wish him a lot of health, gladness & happiness
& don't forget to say "spasibo"(thank you) from me!

The same thing we're the russians, can say about the openinig the second front in the ww2 "at the last minute when his (yours)help was not needed" cause we've already done everything & the end of the war was predetermined. Japan was an ally of Germany. We won that war & we have all rights for these lands. That's it.

"Russian warhead alters course midflight in test
    By Bill Gertz
    THE WASHINGTON TIMES
    November 21, 2005

Russia recently conducted a flight test of a new warhead that can change course in midflight, which U.S. and Russian officials are calling part of Moscow's efforts to defeat U.S. missile defenses.
The warhead was tested Nov. 1 and tracked by U.S. intelligence technical monitors, including satellites, the officials said.
An analysis of the flight test by U.S. intelligence agencies revealed that it was a further test of a maneuverable warhead that Moscow has been developing for several years in response to U.S. missile defenses.
The warhead was flight tested on a Russian Topol-M missile, designated by the Pentagon the SS-27, that flew from the Kapustin Yar launch complex in southern Russia near Volgograd.
The missile booster fired for a shorter-than-usual duration in placing the dummy warhead and re-entry vehicle into space. The warhead then dropped down to a lower trajectory and was able to maneuver.
Kremlin officials were quoted in Russian press reports as saying the new warhead was designed to thwart the new U.S. missile-defense system of interceptors deployed in Alaska and California.
U.S. officials confirmed some characteristics of the new missile warhead based on an analysis of the Nov. 1 flight test, which was first reported earlier this month by several Russian news organizations.
Unlike current ballistic warheads that do not alter their flight paths sharply once they reach space, the new warhead can change course and range while traveling at speeds estimated at about 3 miles per second, the officials said.
Maneuvering warheads represents a difficult physics challenge because changing course at such high speeds normally would cause a warhead to disintegrate.
Maneuverability would let a warhead thwart missile defenses, because such countermeasures rely on sensors to project a warhead's flight path and impact point so that an interceptor missile can be guided to the right spot to knock out a warhead.
Rick Lehner, a spokesman for the Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency (MDA), declined to comment on U.S. intelligence assessments of the latest Russian warhead test because data is classified.
But Mr. Lehner would say that U.S. missile defenses aim to counter a limited number of warheads from a small nuclear power such as North Korea, not a major strike from a nation with hundreds of missiles, such as Russia.
However, Moscow believes future U.S. defenses, including plans to deploy anti-missile interceptors in Europe or the East Coast of the United States, could be used against Russian strategic missiles.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said a year ago that the new strategic-missile system "will have no analogues," a reference to the hypersonic warhead.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon announced yesterday the Navy's Aegis missile-defense system conducted the sixth successful test of an anti-missile interceptor hitting a target warhead.
It was the first time that a ship-based SM-3 interceptor missile hit a warhead that had been separated from its booster, the MDA said in a statement. The test was carried out near Hawaii from the Aegis-equipped cruiser USS Lake Erie."

I don't think that this event will change smth. In Russian - Polish relations. But anyway I see that Poland steps on the same rake. If the "war" between Russia & the USA is possible, then the first victim will be again Poland. All of you (poles) use think that you are experts in Russo - polish historical relations but it seems like you always circulating. I can guess that this base will be unpleasant not only for Russia but also for your neighbor
