Depend’s on Russia’s millitary end goal. I haven’t seen a ‘victory condition’ put forward beyond vague ‘de-nazification’ something that is cultural and not really a military goal.
I keep going back and forth if, because of the indictments, this is the best time to fight for real budgetary change. Would the 24hr news cycle be too exhausted to drum up the typical pho-outrage?
Seems to be no downside to this from what I have read.
It moves for a better chance of a Trump leaning judge, setting up a victory in court. If it fails and he is convicted it has been moved to a venue that can be pardoned by a president. Solid lawyer-ing. But I’m no lawyer, I just play one on the internet.
indictments will backfire, big time whew, my brother(or sister). Wracking up 70+ felony charges to drop something a man of his popularity can get done with a few well placed phone calls is... well lets just call it 'a bold strategy'. As always, time will tell.
France is the one threatening to send forces to protect its mines in Niger I had not seen this. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I don't see France as having the gumption to do so.
about right. France stands to lose big time as Niger is their largest exporter for uranium which their pro-nuke energy network needs in abundance. They had a sweet heart deal due to old colonialist system in place there. I have a bet that Wagner forces will be there to ‘secure’ the uranium mine and this will be a fortunate coop for Russia.
The Georgia indictments, If they stick, are not pardon-able as they are state charges not federal (as far as I have read, anyway) . Don’t see any pro-trump use in backing DeSantis. Will be interesting to see post GA indictment polls. Don’t expect they will change Trump voters much.
He has sucked all the oxygen from their room and they have been looking for a way to get their ship untethered to Trump without getting any blood on their hands. This is perfect for the non trump brand GOP.
Put me in the camp that was wrong about DeSantis. I had no idea about his complete lack of charisma and personal relation issues. Do you think he holds on now purely to see if he can influence his way to winning the Iowa Straw Poll and hope to see a rebound?
