A new I&I/TIPP primary election poll reveals that former President Trump still holds a large lead among Republican voters even after three indictments.

TIPP Poll: Trump holds 45-point lead for Republican Nomination

• Trump — 57% (+2 from June)
• DeSantis — 12% (-7)
• Ramaswamy — 8% (+6)
• Pence — 5% (-1)
• Haley — 4% (-1)
• Scott — 2% (-1)

With the upcoming primary elections next year, poll numbers are being closely watched to see who will win the GOP nomination for the general election. Recent polling shows that former President Trump is leading the polls by 45 points, giving him a 57 percent hold.

“Our latest national online poll, taken from Aug. 2-4, included a total 1,253 registered voters. Among those polled were 529 Republicans or independents who lean Republican. The margin of error is +/-4.3 percentages points. Among that group, 57% said they would support Trump for president,” stated Issues & Insight.

Even after the news of his third indictment this month, which some thought would affect his poll numbers, Trump seems to be still currying favor among Republican voters due to the fact that he has gained two points since June.

“That compares to 53% in July and 55% in June. So, if anything, Trump’s party support is strengthening, not weakening,” continued Issues & Insight.

According to previous data from Issues & Insight, many American voters seem skeptical of Trump’s charges, with 39 percent describing them as “exaggerated” or “harassment.” While the poll numbers also indicated that Trump had gained more traction, Florida Governor DeSantis has dropped by seven points, bringing him down to 12 percent.

“Moreover, Trump’s main rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, appears to be losing steam. Some 12% of GOP voters in August said they would vote for DeSantis, down from 14% in July and 19% in June,” Issues & Insight reported.

Notably, the only other candidate that seems to be picking up favor among voters is Vivek Ramaswamy. The I&I/TIPP polls indicate that he is now holding eight percent this month, which is a large jump from his previous two percent hold in June.

Things have gotten so dark, so bleak, so awful in American politics, no average politician will be able to pull us out of this nosedive.

DeSantis has said he would pardon Trump... If democrat thugs and goons get Trump we’ll need DeSantis to pardon him... Let’s not burn bridges. We need Trump and DeSantis and NOT creeps like Pence and Christie.

I'm a two issue voter: election integrity and political persecution. As far as I'm concerned desanctomonious's position on these is the same as bidens. It's Trump or die for me, he is the only one fighting for truth and justice.

Until we fix the AT&T election interference the reporting of ‘polls’ is absolutely POINTLESS and a waste of the readers’ time.

I’m a 100% Trump supporter and was one of the first to back Trump here years ago. My concern is who can stand up to the deep state thugs. And after Trump I feel DeSantis is next best to do that. He’s said he would pardon Trump and I’m sure he would also take Trump’s advice and help. The only two I would not vote for under any circumstances are Pence and Christie.

No votes have been cast yet, no caucuses have been held. In the summer of 2015, the year before he was elected, Trump was at 12% in the GOP polls, trailing Jeb Bush. We will see what happens.

He also said he would serve out his term in Florida. Don’t bet the farm on DeSantis promises.

No.

There is no hierachy of preference. BECAUSE THERE IS NO POLITICS. This is not politics. Politics will NEVER return to what it was pre Trump.

The man has destroyed the narrative that populism is in some way distasteful. THIS IS NOT ABOUT TRUMP. It is indeed Trump or die, but if you think you can dangle a carrot in front of the mule and tell people only DeSantis can pardon Trump, then you do not understand what is going on.

It is Trump or die not because it is Trump. It is Trump or die because Trump is the only one who wants to destroy the Deep State and GOP Swamp filth. If someone else stands up and says they will erase the GOP hierarchy, upend all past GOP policies and FORCE GOP politicians to embrace Drain the Swamp, Build the Wall and America First in All Things or be removed from their position — then that someone else can be supported.

This is the fundamental problem the GOPe filth have not grasped. There Are No Policies To Be Debated. This is about removal of THEM. Period. You don’t argue that point with debate. You resign in disgrace or you be removed in disgrace. There will be no other choices permitted.

75 to 80 million (75,000,000) people feel their vote was stolen, so they are expected to give up support for the one they voted for, and lend their support to someone who is in single digits, because, well, because most of those 75 million (75,000,000) , say 90% of them, don’t like the guy in the single digits, but you think it could happen, so there is that.

If Trump is made ineligible, and make no mistake here, the power exists in the GOP to prevent that, then Biden will win because there is no difference between Biden and any other aspect of the Swamp.

This has to start at the state level. Every legislator has to be told to put his career on the line creating alternate electors, passing laws expunging any Trump convictions, demonstrating total commitment to Trump, or he will be removed. Most particularly at the state party level.

It is either hard to understand or impossible to understand, but the party had better get a grasp on it. THERE WILL BE NO GOING BACK TO PRE TRUMP POLITICS. There is only populism, which requires destruction of the elite. There is nothing else.

Conform to this right and proper definition of Conservatism or die.

That is a bad take. Trump can’t only not get us out of this mess, but he got us in to this mess. Vax, Fauci, Wray, Barr, Pence, Christie, Hailey? Trump, Trump, Trump picks all, and you think RDS stabbed fat Donnie? Oy! Ever notice that the same poster is always posting the same silly propaganda. and nobody else? You are calling the best governor, who turned Florida from a swing state to deep red, without promising, a stupid name that a bitter and jealous Trump came up with before RDS won by 20 points with zero fraud. Trump is being persecuted and keeps making it worse. There is only one person who can save Trump from the communists and save him from Trump himself and that is RDS.

We don’t have two Trump’s - we have one.

If the deep state can take him out... like the old KGB used to do with folks they didn’t want to run - then our Plan B has to be the next person - someone who can save Trump - and run with MAGA plans and appoint Trump to a high position. DeSantis is our best bet for that because he’s already said he would pardon Trump It’s going to take the whole team to get our democracy back from democrat perverts, liars, commies and goons.

“To Die For’ is nuts. That’s not one of the options that would work... you know that.
