Five same-sex couples obtained marriage licenses Wednesday in a suburban Philadelphia county defying a state ban on such unions, but the governor's spokesman said the local officials lack the power to suspend state law. Alicia Terrizzi and Loreen Bloodgood, of Pottstown, were the only couple to marry right away, exchanging vows in a park before a minister and their two young sons. "We're not setting out to be pioneers. We don't think our family is any different than anybody else," said Terrizzi, a 45-year-old teacher. "We've been waiting a long time for this." The licenses issued Wednesday in Montgomery County...

  • Unexpected Health Insurance Rate Shock-California Obamacare Insurance Exchange Announces Premiums

    Forbes ^ | 5/24/2013 | Rick Ungar
Yesterday, Covered California—the name given to the healthcare exchange created pursuant to the Affordable Care Act that will serve the largest population of insured citizens in the nation—released the premium rates submitted by participating health insurance companies for the three health insurance program categories (bronze, silver and gold) established by the Affordable Care Act, along with the catastrophic policy created for and available to those under the age of 30. Upon reviewing the data, I was indeed shocked by the proposed premium rates—but not in the way you might expect. The jolt that I was experiencing was not the result...
  • The Gosnell Trial and the Liberal Conspiracy (BARF ALERT)

    Penn Live ^ | 5/7/2013 | Dick Polman
The reality is that Gosnell is an extreme anomaly. As The Daily Beast site rightly pointed out — in its coverage 27 months ago — "Gosnell's clinic was in no way representative of most abortion facilities, which is why the country's largest organization of abortion providers, the National Abortion Federation, refused him membership and testified against him to the grand jury." Gosnell is accused of infanticide, which is obviously illegal. He's accused of doing procedures on women who were more than 24 weeks pregnant and, in Pennsylvania, that's illegal. All told, his sordid saga has no bearing on legal abortion...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8juyn7eCNU Here's a video of the cops entering the home of the parents who wished to receive a second opinion about their son's potential surgery. They removed the child because they claimed he needed the surgery immediately, yet the baby still hasn't received the surgery. Welcome to the nanny state.
  • Dzhokar Tsarnaev's mosque affilated with Muslim Brotherhood

    Clarion Project ^ | 4/20/2013 | Ryan Mauro
Ryan Mauro just wrote an article about the younger brother's mosque, and its affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood. Here's an excerpt. Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who has been arrested for the terrorist bombings in Boston, attended the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB) in Cambridge, a mosque with strong Muslim Brotherhood links. The ISB Cultural Center, which is at a separate location, is even run by a group that federal prosecutors said in 2008 “was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” An ISB attendee reports last seeing Tsarnaev there during Ramadan last year. It is unclear if his...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_puueyRCSQ Check out the video of Ben Carson's comments on same sex sex marriage. He stated that marriage is a pillar of society, and no group, whether it be gays, NAMBLA, or people into bestiality, have the ability to change a fundamental pillar of our society. Pretty strong words from Dr. Carson.

By chance, did anyone else just the commercial on Fox News promoting homosexual marriage? I had to check the channel to make sure I was watching Fox News. I know Fox News have been moving to the left, but selling ad time to organizations promoting homosexual marriage? I may stop watching Fox News all together and stick to purely online discussions.

"When I started this article about what we face in the 113th Congress, I was focused on the challenge and frustration of trying to govern with an intransigent minority that would rather wreck the economy than grow it. The tea party fringe of the Republican Party has held the government hostage and while their attitude has not changed, what is different is the experience and commitment of others to do what is good for the country. The President’s Inaugural address and the apparent “results” of the Republican “retreat” last week have lightened my mood and encouraged me to think that...

I was wondering how strong the FreeRepublic presence is on Twitter. I've been on there since October, and I've noticed that a lot of conservatives on Twitter end up getting temporarily suspended due to a spam-report bug that liberals are able to exploit? So far, I've been suspended 6 times in the last 2 months, mostly over my opinions regarding Benghazi. Conservatives on Twitter refer to the temporary suspension as Twitter Gulag. Many have attempted to bring up the spam-report exploit to Twitter, but they deny it exists. Have the Freepers on Twitter found a way to negate or lessen...

Why do the talking heads on Fox sound so negative and dejected. O'Reilly sounded like he was ready to concede the election to Obama based on Hurricane Sandy. I don't understand the negativity. Also, Juan Williams needs to go to MSNBC.

Regardless, I'm 90 percent sure I'm wearing my shirt tomorrow. I'm proud to be a young conservative, since most of my peers are inundated by their liberal professors. LETS GO ROMNEY!
