I served onboard from late 80 to spring of 84. I had just flown off to a school in Norfolk when the EA6B crashed on deck. Was onboard when the two Libyan planes were shot down.

I still work for the Navy and intend on visiting her one last time before decommissioning.

My second ship, JFK, is being disassembled in Brownsville right now.

Did they use a popular centerfire rifle with telescoping stock, pistol grip, threaded barrel, or some other features?
Did they fire more than 15 rounds?
Oh wait, these things won’t be illegal until July.

I grew up in coastal NC with Mom’s family in middle TN.
Every summer we would go to TN.
I would get the free road map at the first gas station and follow it on the trip.
I learned to read a road map about the same age that I learned to read.

For years, both side of the aisle have run campaigns on eliminating the hated Personal Property Tax, including SpamBooger (apologies to Hormel.)

Now they want to expand it to tax, among other things, our lawnmowers.

Our new governor Abigail Spambooger has already stated that Virginia local law enforcement will not cooperate with ICE or enforce the Federal law.

There IS a uniform gun law - “The right to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed.”

I’d trust Barney Fife more with a loaded gun. And he had to keep his bullet in his pocket.

Here in SE VA (Norfolk) I say the roads are full of dehydrated idiots. Just add water. And the degree of their idiocy is inversely proportional to the degree of the water.

Most everything I need is in my hurricane kit. Just going to do the weekly commissary run.

So many great songs that I can’t pick just one.
But I will mention a recent album, one of the great rock groups with various country artists joining them:

My Grandad used to tell me this joke:

I haven’t gone to many concerts, but there is one band that I have seen three times.

First in 78, at Alpine Valley when i was a young Navy man. Not very impressed.

Then in 2013 and 2021 in Virginia Beach. They were GREAT!

Watch their concerts on YouTube - they seem to be really enjoying entertaining the audience. Tom, Patrick, John, Michael and the rest put on an outstanding show.

That’s it! Send in the 2nd Marine and 82nd Airborne Divisions. With a few SEAL teams.

I think it’s time to send in the 2nd Marine division and the 82nd Airborne division.

Clean the place out for good.

My thoughts exactly when, back in 1985, they caught John Walker for selling to the USSR. He should have been executed.
