I was doing some web surfing on the Stolen Valor Act and was looking at articles about him when I ran across the link to the above obituary. I think this is him. Everything the description fits him perfectly (e.g., lived in Houston; studied Tibetan Buddhism; his "cherished friend" Alvin Chan) and the photo pretty much looks like him (minus the glasses, soul patch and goatee, of course). DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) – A man was found dead inside a tent at the Occupy Denton campsite on the University of North Texas campus Saturday afternoon, spokesman Buddy Price said. Gabriel Elizondo, a Brazil-based correspondent for Al Jazeera, is in the middle of a road trip across the United States, talking to people about the effects of 9/11 on American life. TOKYO — Japan was rattled by a strong aftershock and tsunami warning Thursday night nearly a month after a devastating earthquake and tsunami flattened the northeastern coast. The Japan meteorological agency issued a tsunami warning for a wave of up to one meter (3.2 feet). The warning was issued for a coastal area already torn apart by last month's tsunami.. Ninety-five-year-old Leeland Davidson discovered recently that he's not a U.S. citizen, despite living nearly 100 years in the country and serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Davidson, from Centralia, Washington, told KOMO News that he discovered he wasn't a U.S. citizen when he was turned down for an enhanced driver's license he needed for a trip to Canada to visit relatives. "We always figured because he was born to U.S. parents he's automatically a U.S. citizen," said Davidson's daughter, Rose Schoolcroft. Davidson was born in British Columbia in 1916. Iran objects to the logo for the 2012 London Olympics, contending it is racist because it resembles the word ''Zion.'' The secretary general of Iran's National Olympic Committee says Iran sent a letter to International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, warning of a possible boycott of the games. The letter claims the 2012 logo spells out ''Zion,'' a biblical term widely recognized to refer to the city of Jerusalem. Here's one very odd and overlooked twist in the exhaustively chronicled shooting at a public event for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords last month: One of the Tucson firemen summoned to the scene refused to go, on political grounds. Less than a month after the Leftwing in America blamed conservatives for the Tucson shooting and demanded 'civility' in political discourse, a children's play in Montana called for the beheading of Sarah Palin.
