  • Is Gulf Shores Ready for Vacationing?

I don't think the water will be very warm in April in Gulf Shores. Not unless you are Canadian!! Or Alaskan.
Panama City and Destin/South Walton are prettier beaches. Gulf shores is very pretty, but not as pretty.
Gulf Shores is more family oriented and less of a party beach. It's also cheaper.
April can get pretty cold there. Some days it can be in the 50's.
    Hope this helps.

Our family was down there this summer. Yes, there are still areas that have not been completely cleared, but most of it has been cleared away. Katrina didn't hit Gulf Shores all that bad. Ivan was the one that devastated the area. Ivan was two years ago, so they have had some time to recover.
The beaches are IMO nicer than before Ivan. They have built the beaches up more, and the water is shallower further out which is nice if you have small children. There is also more sand in between the condo and the ocean, which is also nice if you have kids.
Most of the units in the condos were redone completely because of all the water damage. Ivan knocked out all the windows facing the gulf. Everything is new and clean.
We stayed in a condo, so I don't have much info on houses, but most we saw were in decent shape. All of our favorite restaurants were up and running. The amusement parks were all running, and the outlet mall wasn't damaged at all :).
    Hope this helps.

I would look into the possibility of yeast or Candida. Google Candida. Normally, this is a girl problem, but more and more men are being affected by this.
Someone mentioned tea tree oil. That has helped many people. I also know of several people who have been helped by virgin coconut oil. They sell coconut oil at Wal-mart, but it needs to be as unprocessed as possible so I don't recommend getting it from there, but a health food/ whole food store would have it. You may also have some success with aloe. Finally, I would highly recommend an Omega 3 fatty acid supplement gotten from a reputable health food store (not GNC). It's said to be a miracle supplement.
    Hope this helps.

No urban myth, I worked for a dentist in high school. Two of his patients were twins, oranjello and lemonjello. Cute little identical boys. Lots of fun.

There is a white family quite well educated who named their son Braxton Hicks! I dunno--maybe she was in labor a little too long.

Actually, it's Dollywood, and for the record, it's a cute place to go with kids.

Not really, we live on less than $50000 a year, have five kids, and homeschool. We take yearly fun trips, go all over the country, and have no debt except house payments. It can be done if you are willing to budget. We probably don't eat out as much as the average family, and we shop great sales to keep the kids properly clothed and decent looking. The kids have no idea that we are a below average income family.
It can be done, probably much easier than you think. It is also a blast and so much easier on the kids. All the kids but the oldest (6th grade) are done by lunch. All excel in testing. Plus they learn more and can participate in the extra curricular activities where they can really get social skills.
This is our 6th year. Our whole family loves it.

So, why don't they like Hilary? I thought all democrats thought she was God's (or mother earth's) gift to the US. I must be out of touch.

I read in an article earlier today that there is a possibility he has aids. Of course they will never admit it even if true. Maybe those virgins will be a mixed assortment.

This was too funny to not share.
The plumber came by today. He was complaining about the election results. He voted for Kerry and went on and on about how Bush lied about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. He said his wife's two cousins were in Iraq and had no idea why they were there and that 1100 men had now died. I mentioned that they were safer there. If here, they were statistically more likely to die in a car crash. His next statement was beyond belief. "Yeah, but if they die in a car wreck, at least they know they died in a car wreck, if they die in Iraq, they have no idea why they died." Is it really safe to let people like this vote??
