This article was another FAIL by NBC for their failure to mention the facts about federal finances. SS is going to get decimated if we do not make major federal spending cuts. If they were real journalists they would note that 1300 was not enough. No wonder NBC is fake news. They are simply very bad at doing journalism.

Unfortunately, they do have a lot more things on their agenda. Those are the things that worry me. If Harris had won and they got 10+ more seats in the House nad Schumer as Majority Leader then what would things be like now?

He is being naive if he thinks this makes a difference before she keeps her promise to release the Epstein files. I would be a fool to side against the victims who were children when they were molested. If anyone should be putting the brakes on the release it could only be them. Everyone else applying yhe brakes is an enabler of the abusers and that needs to stop.

On the Epstein case the WH press releases do not matter. What matters is that the material stuff gets released.

On the Epstein files - I think they should be released, with appropriate redactions to protect victims. I don’t care if it makes Baron Trump or anyone else look bad. And anyone who is in them should be considered innocent unless proven guilty.

There should also be excise taxes on tattoos, Piercings, processed foods, cannabis, HFCS foods, soda pops, plastic surgery, and other stuff to pay for Medicaid.

The trusts & gifts should all face a IRA sequestering process the same year that matches the gifts/trusts amounts that eliminates the worst abuses on this.

And on all this the biggest challenge of all is we are talking about a system at the federal level that is unconstitutional in a post 16th/17th Amendments era where the gold standard is dead, fiat money is running its historically disastrous pattern, national debt exceed 3 years gross wages, annual deficits exceed 20% of gross wages, and fiscal sanity is dead in DC.

The best insurance for anyone is to marry well, have several kids & raise them well, stay happily married, live thriftily & work hard/smart, and make very good health, exercise, diet, and other lifestyle choices. That way as the federal malaise gets worse then they have a better chance of taking care of the elderly & disabled (starting with yourselves).

Most likely what will happen is that federal CMS quality of service for seniors and disabled or truly needy people will continue to deterioate as will any of the people on insurance plans or living in places that are heavily corraled into subsidizing the CMS deficiencies. If you live in a Blue zone you are screwed as their voters are going to shutdown the possibilities of untethered health care services & it will become like the Prohibition era in such places where real quality health care will be underground.

And if you insist on living a non-thrifty lifestyle then be prepared to be heavily dependent on the mercies of the system. Whenever you see anyone over age 50 not having 2+ years of liquidity + being debt-free then you have to wonder what they were thinking the past billion seconds on preparing for this stage in their life. They will never have the same health/vigor in the next billion seconds as they did the past billion seconds. I don’t wish them bad ill. But I see how much riskier things will be for them in the future & how much of an extra burden they are placing on everyone else.

Leftwingers have a habit of being dishonest and even making up baloney. If they would learn to be honest then the rightwingers will never win nationwide elections again. There are way too many people who fall for the old Roman tradition of giving people bread & circuses in order to get them to give away their freedom. The humans, by default, are no different today. The key to changing this is to get them educated on having strong critical thinking skills and being well-informed about human history.

Where’s the line for people wanting to pay? These Blue zones are slow learners. If the people who own assets, earn income, or spend money they earn all disappear then there is nothing to tax and no revenue coming in. And what is vital for the rest of us not in such zones to do is not live or work those places & ninimize our time in such zones. Otherwise, the taxoholics will infect our lives with their nonsense.

Rent control will scare away the real capital investments -> improvements needed to make places nice to live. When such a system exists then the investors are playing roulette & they can only win if they are super tight with a corrupt political system.

Anyone wanting long-term stability and fairness LOSES in such a system.

I totally agree that the country of Israel and Jews should face scrutiny for whatever they do. But they have certainly demonstrated in the USA a really boring track record in the criminal justice system. How often do we hear of any Jews doing riots and other crimes in America? I have never met any impolite Jews in my entire life and I have met thousands of them.

As driverless cars become more widespread I suggest that pedestrians who plan to keep on living be less trusting that the driverless systems will always have effective anti-collison capabilities.
