Well, the Charlotte Observer is going to say about 300. It could have been more given people coming and going.
The REALLY good news is that this was with temperatures in the 40's and rain (which thankfully disapated about 10 minutes before the rally...but people were already there)
Yesterday at the anti-american rally, the sun was shining and it was in the 70's. They only had about 100-125.
We would have had 1000 without the rain!

Hey guys! We have a wonderful lineup of people for this rally in Charlotte. Mayor Pat McCrory, Congresswoman Sue Myrick, Congressman Robin Hayes, Commissioner Dan Ramirez, Tim Lee (an evangelist and former Marine who lost his legs in Vietnam...never a former Marine I suppose) and others.
We are getting pretty good press coverage, now that they have the date right!
We are hoping for a great turnout so bring your family and friends!

I agree, any polls that have been taken seem to only say that "Dole is winning" but they don't say by how much. I'm sure the primary race between Dole and Jim Snyder is closer than most think. For those that don't know, Jim Snyder is the conservative Republican in the race. He's basically doing what Bill Simon out in California did...taking on the "big dog" with grassroots tactics. It will be interesting to see how everything pans out.
