If you don't think your education was worth enough to pay of its debt, why do you think taxpayers should pay for it?

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration announced a milestone Thursday in its effort to cancel Americans' student debt: It has provided relief to more than 1 million borrowers who work in public service.
Through the Education Department's Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, the administration approved about $4.5 million in additional student loan relief for more than 60,000 borrowers, bringing the total relief through that program to $74 million for more than 1 million people.
That brings the total amount of student debt relief under the administration to $175 billion for more than 4.8 million borrowers over the nearly four years President Joe Biden has been in office, the department said.
The Education Department said that before Biden's presidency, only 7,000 public servants had ever received student debt relief through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. The program was previously "riddled by dysfunction," Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a statement, adding that "countless public servants were trapped making payments on debts that should have been forgiven."
Cardona added that "pursuing a career in public service is not only a noble calling but a reliable pathway to becoming debt-free within a decade."
"Think about it, 7,000 to 1 million," Cardona told reporters on a call Wednesday previewing the announcement. "That’s an increase of more than 14,000% in less than four years. Let me say that again: We grew the number of public servants earning forgiveness by 14,000%."
Those who qualify for the program include nurses, social workers, teachers, first responders, service members and other public servants.

Well that sounds fair. Except for all the folks that did pay off student loans. Oh, and those that are still doing it. Special treatment is NOT equal treatment!
Ok. So its been “forgiven”. Has the money been paid yet? Has there been an exchange of funds? If so, what account did it come out of and which account did it go to?
This really pisses me off! I’ve paid all my loans, including paying for college while serving 20+ yrs on active duty. Why should I have to pay for someone else’s piss poor decisions??

Biden passes 4.8M borrowers debt onto the tax payer another democrat on duty always costs you a lot.
The courts will because it is unconstitutional. Democrats knew this, but it was a good election gimmick for them. Didn’t work though because people are smarter than they thought.

Talk about back@sswards policies. The Democrats deserved to fail and fail just as miserably as they did this election. They deserve much, much worse, in fact... but we’ll probably never get to see that justice served.
How about a 14th amendment violation? Government forgives someone’s student debt but not another’s tax debt!
Early last year my federal school loan “disappeared.” I was never told why, no letters, emails, phone call, nothing. No presidential edict had taken effect either, yet. To date, I still don’t know why it happened, and the same thing happened to several other people I know.
I wonder how many of these deadbeats live in Blue States.
We really need to get govt entirely out of the loan business. The Fed govt does many unconstitutional things, but this is egregious.
