Yes ... I started out in the mech infantry (2d Battalion, 12th Cavalry (The Blue Lancers)) for three years and then changed MOS to 71E (court reporter) after attending the Naval Justice School in Newport, RI. Never looked back either. I loved that job, both military and civilian, because, if you’ve got a good judge, you’re pretty much left on your own to complete the job. If you do it quickly and accurately, you can almost write your own ticket.
After a number of years on the old Royal, once I got to an electric typewriter, I was pounding on the keys so hard that I went through about one typewriter a year (sent in for repairs or scrapping) ... and it was even worse when I got to computer keyboards ...

And I was a court reporter for 45 years ... US Army for 25 years and Army Civil Service for 20. Started off with reel-to-reel recording (with a Royal 550 typewriter), then cassette tapes (with an IBM Selectric), and finished with digital recording (with voice writing on computer).
Finishing and "winning" at 55.59 seconds in the women's finals wouldn't even have made the final cut for the men's finals, where the slowest runner of the 16 male runners in the preliminaries finished at 54.16. The slowest runner in the final eight finished at 52.74 in the championship race. The winner of the men's final 400 came in at 48.05.
It's obvious why he's running as a female ... he was so slow, he wouldn't even have been invited to compete as a male.
You creep into my heart and make my heart burn. You sneak into my mind and make my head ache. There are things I long to tell you: You're much too blonde ... You snore. Look, it's time to face the music ... Bye bye. Don't slam the door.
And I don't want... (I don't want...) And I don't want... (I don't want...) No, I don't want your flowers anymore ...
This is the last duet, the last chance you're gonna get, No more harmony for you and me. This is the final song and when the music's through, This is the last duet I'll ever do with you.
You're not the one that I want, toodle-oo, honey. Don't go breakin' my back; don't call me, I'll call you. Back together, reunited, should feel so good, they say; So I hope there's no hard feelings ... Don't go 'way mad, just go 'way. 'Cause enough is enough is enough is enough, Too much too little too late, Tonight with you I'm bored again!
This is the last duet, the last chance you're gonna get, No more harmony for you and me. This is the final song and when the music's through, This is the last duet I'll ever do ... I'll never never never never never do with you.
Damn! I can't decide which side to support. I guess the best I can hope for is that both side stick to their principles and not give in to the other side.
