Why did Ross place himself in front of the vehicle in violation of procedure?Also, cops are trained to stop shooting when the person is no longer a threat which was the case when Ross had stepped out of the way. One might be able to argue that Ross’s first shot was defensive, but the follow up shots clearly weren’t as shown by the videos. Ross, by his actions, put everyone down street in danger as the vehicle was no longer under control . Fortunately, it crashed into an empty parked car.

Standing if front of a car is like looking down the barrel of a loaded gun. It should be common sense not to do that and LEO teaches their officers not to do that for very obvious reasons.

Ross had plenty of time to know that he shouldn’t be in front of the vehicle. One doesn’t even need specialized training to figure that out. So why was he there?

If he had dropped to his knees, he wouldn’t have been able to see the woman turning the steering wheel to the right. He himself video recorded the woman turning the steering wheel . You may not know this but the steering wheel is connected to the front tires. Turn the steering wheel to the drivers right and the tires will turn to the right.

If Ross was at the front right side of the car, his was he able to shoot at the left part of the windshield and then two more shots through the open left door window?

Do you have any sources that state agents are trained to place themselves in front of a vehicle? I bet you don’t.

I fully expect the Dems to take the House. It’s possible they could take the Senate too but I think we’ll hold on to that given where the races are.

He was at her left front when she backed up. Her turning to the right suggests to me that she had no intention of running him over.

The first shot, which went through the windshield, might be defensible but the second two that he fired through the open driver’s side window when he was clearly out of danger as the vehicle was already going past him as shown in the slow motion video might not be.
