By a plurality of 48 to 44%, according to the latest poll averages, Americans favor impeaching President Trump and removing him from office. But, as we know, presidential elections are made in the electoral college on a state-by-state basis and senators are elected in this manner as well, which is why it is important to look at public opinion by state. According to a just-released New York Times/Siena College poll, sentiment in the swing states that will determine the winner of the 2020 presidential election differs from the national averages. Like other Americans, voters in these states support an impeachment...

illary Clinton got into the Halloween spirit with a dig at President Donald Trump on “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.” In a clip shared online Thursday, Clinton told what the show billed as “the scariest ghost story of our time” ― involving herself and her GOP rival in the 2016 election. “They counted all the votes and even though she got 3 million more, the orange man still got into the house,” Clinton recalled to a group of people, with a flashlight under her face. “But how?” one of the group asked. “The electoral college,” Clinton responded, eliciting screams...

EXCLUSIVE: Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s long-awaited "Medicare-for-all" funding plan projects the government-run health care system would cost a staggering sum of "just under $52 trillion" over the next decade, with the campaign proposing a host of new tax increases to pay for it while still claiming the middle class would not face any additional burden. “We don’t need to raise taxes on the middle class by one penny to finance Medicare for All,” Sen. Warren, D-Mass., said in her plan — a copy of which was obtained by Fox News. Some of Warren’s rivals for the nomination are unlikely...

Happy Friday! Paula White, President Donald Trump’s spiritual advisor, is joining the White House staff — seen as a move to boost relations with Christians. She gave a prayer at a June rally saying “demonic networks” have aligned themselves against Trump and vowed that the president “will overcome every strategy from hell and every strategy from the enemy.” [TheHill] Topping the news: The House voted to formalize the impeachment inquiry into Trump. Democratic Utah Rep. Ben McAdams was the only member of Utah’s delegation to vote for it. [Trib] [Fox13] [StandEx] -> Utah Gov. Gary Herbert wrote a letter to...

During Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump's campaign launched a seven-figure national ad buy -- a 30-second commercial touting his first-term accomplishments on terrorism, the economy and immigration. But the real key to the ad -- and the bit that you need to pay very close attention to -- comes in the final moments of the commercial, when the narrator says this: "He's no Mr. Nice Guy. But sometimes it takes a Donald Trump to change Washington." Those two sentences are hugely telling when it comes to understanding how Trump (and his campaign) are...

Laura Ingraham continued to pressure Senate Republicans on Wednesday, just a day after she urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to "stand up" against House Democrats, saying there is no Republican Party in 2020 without President Trump. "Naturally, Republican senators are being bombarded by Never Trumpers and Democrats," Ingraham said on "The Ingraham Angle. "Take a principled stand against the White House! Protect your party's future! Stand against Trump!," she mocked. ""Spare us. The crisis is the Democrats' own making, and it's up to Republicans to ensure that this never happens to any president of either party again." Ingraham delivered...

When the economy under President Barack Obama posted quarterly growth of just 1.9% in 2012, Citizen Donald Trump tweeted, "The economy is in deep trouble." That same reading Wednesday was celebrated by the Trump Commerce Department, which issued a statement that highlighted other achievements and tweaked the media. The statement said: "...the U.S. economy continues its steady growth in defiance of media skeptics calling for a recession ... Since President Trump took office, wages have surged, unemployment has hit record lows, and poverty has fallen for all Americans, including the country's most vulnerable." Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross reminded Americans that...

The average American middle class voter does not care about impeaching President Donald Trump, according to Antjuan Seawright, the former top adviser to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in the key state of South Carolina. "Take off your South Carolina hat and put on one that says Rust Belt," said Judge Andrew Napolitano on the latest edition of his Fox Nation show "Liberty Files." "How does impeachment play there? We're talking in western Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin -- those states that your former boss lost that she probably should have won and that obviously put Trump over the top in...

President Donald Trump will be the only choice on the ballot in Minnesota's Republican presidential primary, even though he is not the only candidate running. That's at the direction of the Republican Party of Minnesota. Its chairwoman, Jennifer Carnahan, sent a letter to the Minnesota Secretary of State on Oct. 24 outlining its "determination of candidates" for the March 3, 2020 Republican primary ballot. Trump is the only name listed. Absent are three other Republican candidates who, while long shots, are prominent political names: former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld, former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and former U.S. Rep. Joe...

Carly Simon may have had a strong bond with at least one important White House figure — her latest book, Touched by the Sun, documents her close friendship with former first lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis — but Donald Trump certainly wasn’t it. In an interview with the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper, the singer recounted her run-in with the man who would become president. Though Simon doesn’t say precisely when the Trump encounter happened, it was at a New York luncheon for Benazir Bhutto, the Pakistan prime minister who was assassinated in 2007, and therefore long before the billionaire turned to politics....

A racism scandal in Madison struck a national chord this week— the New York Times reported on it, CNN reported on it, Cher even offered to help. When Marlon Anderson, a black security guard, politely asked a student to stop calling him the n-word he was fired for inappropriate language. I’ll give you a minute to let that sink in. The incident spread rapidly. Yes, social media expedites the spread of stories but I couldn’t help but think this story must have been bigger than just one isolated event. There had to be some universal component. So what was it...

President Donald Trump is tentatively planning to travel to Monroe, Louisiana, next week to headline a rally for Republican governor’s candidate Eddie Rispone, sources with direct knowledge of the plans have told USA Today Network. Those sources said plans could still change and haven’t yet been confirmed by the White House. Details on the time and place of the rally are still developing, but Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayor said the Secret Service has contacted the Monroe Police Department ahead of the visit. “We will welcome the president with open arms,” Mayo said. The House’s resolution should have been the easiest for Republicans to go along with. None of them did. So this is how the impeachment of President Donald Trump is going to go. The House this morning cast its first vote in a process that could lead to just the third Senate impeachment trial of a president in U.S. history. When Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced plans for the vote earlier this week, there was at least some promise of drama: Which House Democrats would defect? How many Republicans might defy Trump to back a formal impeachment inquiry that a few of...

Woodland’s Z Specialty Food seeks to double the footprint of its honey warehouse and create a community gathering spot The Zeldner family legacy is rooted in yellow star thistle. The noxious weed, an invasive species native to the Mediterranean region of southern Europe and northern Africa, covers an estimated 14 million acres in California. It grows densely and depletes soil moisture. It can cause a fatal nervous disorder in horses who graze on it. The spines that extend from the flower head, giving the plant its name, are the bane of hikers and grazing animals alike. For honeybees, however, the...

Update: Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives secured enough votes on Thursday to pass legislation setting up the next steps in the fast-moving impeachment process involving Republican President Donald Trump. The vote is the first formal test of support for the inquiry that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi launched on Sept. 24. The impeachment inquiry focuses on whether Trump pressured Ukraine into helping him in his 2020 re-election campaign, a charge the president denies. Previous report: WASHINGTON - U.S. lawmakers will cast the first vote on Thursday in the impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump as the Democratic-controlled House of...

Everything Trump's defenders feared about the whistleblower is true! According to a report from RealClear Investigations, the whistleblower is 33-year-old Eric Ciaramella. Ciaramella is a holdover from the Obama administration and a registered Democrat. He's been accused of leaking like crazy. He worked with Joe Biden, he's a vocal critic of President Trump, and he invited a DNC operative inside the White House to attend meetings. He also helped instigate the investigation into Russia collusion. So, of course, Democrats believe his second-hand complaint about President Trump's phone conversation with Ukranian President Zelensky over the actual transcript of the call itself....
