LOS ANGELES - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been out of state all or part of 163 days since his inauguration in November 2003 — nearly one of every five days he's been in office. The celebrity governor always promised to promote California, and he's traveled as far as China to pitch everything from avocados to zinfandel. While many of Schwarzenegger's trips on official business are extensively publicized, he also can slip away on a private jet with an e-mail from his office: "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has left the state." Schwarzenegger's regular and sometimes unexplained jaunts expose him to criticism that...

Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante got credit but did not have to attend a basic speech class at Fresno State in the late 1990s because a professor decided in 15 minutes or less that the Fresno Democrat would have earned at least a C based on his public utterances.

    My Sample Ballot | 09-17-03 | socal_parrot
I got my sample ballot yesterday. For those who don't know, because of the multitude of candidates on the recall question number 2, the order of the alphabetical groupings were drawn at random. The letters are then rotated in different counties to give each letter and candidate a somewhat equal shot. When my ballot arrived, I opened it and turned to the page depicting the actual ballot. I chuckled at the sheer sight of 135 candidates dwarfing the recall question number 1 and the two ballot measures. Then I saw the candidate that was listed first on the Orange County...

NEVER FORGET 1) BustaMECHhA gets caught transferring over $2 Million in illegal Indian Gaming Money Contributions to his 2002 Campaign War Chest for his own use in the Oct. 7th California Recall Election in order to beat the Law. 2) BustaMEChA then states that this $2 Million in Indian Gaming Money Contributions he received will only be used to advertise a 'No Vote on Proposition 54' which, if passed, would eliminate the taking down of an individual's information by Race in California. 3) BustaMEChA's 2 new TV Commercials start running today showing ..BustaMEChA himself.. campaigning for himself and then ..BustaMEChA...

Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is fighting off claims from conservative critics that he has links to a Latino campus organization that has called for returning California and the Southwest to Mexico.

Bustamante was a member of MEChA, a group with chapters on hundreds of college campuses, when he was a student at California State University Fresno in the 1970s. In recent days, callers to conservative talk radio stations have dubbed MEChA an anti-white hate group, dedicated to racial separatism.

Bustamante, MEChA and the media Michelle Malkin Now that Democrat Cruz Bustamante is California's gubernatorial recall front-runner, we can look forward to in-depth media investigations of the Latino candidate's long-held ties to the racial separatist group MEChA, right? Ha. While Katie Couric complains about GOP candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger being "the son of a Nazi party member" and international media outlets assail Schwarzenegger adviser Pete Wilson as "anti-immigrant" and "racially divisive," the liberal press has been stone-cold silent on Bustamante's connection to one of the nation's most virulently racist organizations. As a student at Fresno State University in the 1970s, Bustamante...
