Jonesing for lobster salad while out in the Hamptons? It’s a bisque-y proposition. Of course, lobster salad is a summertime staple in the land of money-is-no-object. But at beloved East Hampton delicatessen the Red Horse Market, they’re charging $120 per pound for the delicacy. Store manager Christian Pineda told The Post he’s only gotten complaints “from some of our customers” about the lobster salad. Most patrons, though, are willing to shell out big bucks.

Javier Milei is on tour. Following trips to Spain, Israel, and Davos, the Argentine president most recently traveled to Silicon Valley, where he spoke with tech giants, including Apple’s Tim Cook, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Google’s Sundar Pichai. It’s rare these days to see a politician on the right take photos with so many luminaries in the notoriously progressive Bay Area. To Milei, it signifies that “the world is waking up to [economic] freedom” as a means to create broad-based opportunity and sustainably lift the poor out of poverty. While in California, Milei delivered a highly technical lecture on his...

The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for the capture of the “animal” who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in broad daylight at a Queens park — as officials revealed disturbing new details of the horrific attack. Cops are scouring surveillance video footage around Kissena Park for clues to the Thursday afternoon attack, and deploying a massive police presence to catch the creep, calling it an “all hands on” response. “As a father, [a] member of this department for many years, this incident is a parent’s worst nightmare,” NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey said at a Friday briefing on...

Joe Biden is ready, willing and able to handle a second term as president, his wife insisted Friday — despite the 81-year-old chief executive freezing up during a Juneteenth celebration and wandering away from G7 leaders at a summit in Italy this week. “We can’t wake up on November 6 like we did in 2016 terrified of the future ahead of us,” Jill Biden told a crowd of seniors at a Reno, Nevada, pep rally. “This election is about the character of the person leading our country,” the first lady said. An estimated 600,000 seniors live in Nevada, nearly one-third...

Vacationing in Chicago this week from Europe, Jelle den Burger and Nirusa Naguleswaran grabbed a bite at the Dog House Grill: a classic Italian beef sandwich for him, grilled cheese for her. Both think the way their genders lined up with their food choices was no coincidence. Women, said Naguleswaran, are simply more likely to ditch meat, and to care about how their diet affects the environment and other people. […] Now, scientists can say more confidently than ever that gender and meat-eating preferences are linked. A paper out in Nature Scientific Reports this week shows that the difference is...

New research has confirmed that increasingly fewer Millennials and Gen Zers are having children, and there is a “scary” reason why. More than half of 18- to 34-year-olds are choosing not to have children due to financial challenges, according to newly released data from Australian research company the Red Bridge. Of the young people choosing not to have children, 35 percent are university-educated, and 33 percent are earning more than $2,000 a week. Just under half don’t own a home. Kos Samaras, director of Red Bridge, said the research is a sign of the times, and young people are financially...

Here’s a thought. What if the kids are all right? New polling shows young voters in the US are shrugging off their habit of voting left and actually thinking of voting Republican in November. In almost equal numbers to their Democrat-voting contemporaries. All this despite the daily diet of Democrats trying to throw everything at young voters to woo them. Anyone who gets daily messages in their inbox from the Biden- Harris campaign will know how hard they are trying to make voting Democrat “cool” to young voters. In the past few days alone this has included “direct messages” from...

NEW YORK — Sen. Bob Menendez’s legal team tried Wednesday to unring a bell — literally. The government’s star witness had testified in the trial that Menendez used a bell to summon his wife to help in a conversation that involved bribery. Menendez’s defense attorney asked repeated questions about the bell, trying to fight back against the damning account. The witness, Jose Uribe, a New Jersey trucking and insurance industry figure, has pleaded guilty to bribing the senator and his wife, Nadine, in order to disrupt a state investigation circling his business. Nadine Menendez will stand trial separately following a...

Data released Wednesday by Weedmaps revealed that New York consumers spent more on their individual cannabis purchases than in other markets. The average order value for New Yorkers on orders placed through the platform outstripped than the national average by more than 50% during the first quarter of 2024 ($123.16 in New York vs. $80.78 nationally). In addition, New York has a 6% higher basket size through Weedmaps vs. the national average in the same period (2.35 items vs. 2.22 national). Another difference between New Yorkers and national cannabis shoppers: New Yorkers prefer in-store shopping versus delivery.

College grads venturing out into the corporate world should, by now, know the ins and outs of the job interview process. Dress smart. Project confidence. According to a survey by Resume Templates, 26 percent of those ages 18 to 27 brought along a parent to a job interview — and that’s just the beginning of the disturbing findings...

(Kitco News) – The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) shocked international markets and their own financial institutions on Thursday when it announced that China’s yuan would replace the U.S. dollar as the benchmark for all currency trades in the country. The announcement was one of several issued by the CBR during a frantic day of activity that saw the Moscow Exchange (MOEX) suspend trading in dollars and euros following a new series of U.S. sanctions in response to Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

It's a form letter from Cencora and its Lash Group partner, with pharma companies. They say they had a data breach 2/21/24 and patient's data may have been leaked. They're letting clients know "what information was potentially involved.." The "potential" information was Bob's (not the real name; it's a relative of mine) first name, last name, address, date of birth, health diagnosis, and or prescriptions. Page two says their solution is to provide two years Experian services (which includes notifications of activity, etc). Then they go into a lengthy description of Experian and how they can help. It sounds like...

A new study by a state government has determined that the many new regulations of the Biden Administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) could lead to power blackouts that will impact millions of American citizens. According to the Washington Free Beacon, the study, conducted in May, was carried out by the firm Always On Energy Research, on behalf of the state government of North Dakota. The report concluded that the EPA’s most recently-implemented regulations are not technologically feasible and will only lead to the forced retirement of coal power generation units. Coal and other more reliable forms of energy will be...

Russians lined up to purchase U.S. dollars after the Moscow Exchange enforced an immediate suspension of trading in dollars and euros in response to fresh U.S. sanctions, a video circulating on social media appears to show. Russia's central bank said Wednesday that exchange trading and settlements of deliverable instruments in U.S. dollars and euros were suspended effective June 13 "due to the introduction of restrictive measures by the United States against the Moscow Exchange Group." It added that over-the-counter trading data would be used to set official exchange rates for the currencies.

Almost half of likely voters expect President Joe Biden to make a series of embarrassing flubs when he goes to head-to-head with Donald Trump in their first debate this month. Some 49 percent think he will forget where he is and 41 percent said they expect him to walk off the wrong side of the stage, according to a new poll by J.L. Partners. Another 40 percent think he will trouble standing up during the CNN debate in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 27. In contrast, voters expect a domineering performance from his Republican rival, and overwhelming expect him to emerge...

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar is suing a media company he alleges forced him to make a ceremonial bet that lost him his job on the team's pregame show last year, according to court documents. Kosar was pulled off the Browns' pregame radio show in January 2023 for betting on their season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which the team said was a violation of the NFL's gambling policy. Team employees are prohibited from placing bets. Kosar said on his radio show that he bet $19,000 on the Browns and would be giving the winnings to charity. Kosar wore...

The proposed deal with a Luxembourg-based firm would bring a massive influx of cash to the league Big 12 members are considering a first-of-its kind private equity investment to ensure the league's long-term financial and competitive security, multiple sources tell CBS Sports. On the table is a possible cash infusion of $800 million to $1 billion from Luxembourg-based CVC Capital Partners in exchange for a 15% to 20% stake in the league, those sources said. A portion of the money would go directly to the 16 conference members, and the partnership would give the conference access to CVC's investment services...
