  • Chicago Tribune Writer: Bears Player Must 'Explain' Position on Jason Collins

    05/01/2013 8:02:05 PM PDT · by chessplayer · 37 replies
Of everything I've read surrounding Jason Collins, the NBA center who came out publicly as gay Monday, this column by The Chicago Tribune's Steve Rosenbloom is by far the most disgraceful piece of yellow journalism I've come across yet. Nothing blossoms the left's fascist streak faster than their own sense of puffed up sanctimony, and it is pretty obvious Collins's decision to come out has Rosenbloom puffed up in nine different ways. In a Tuesday column, Rosenbloom publicly "outed" Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs for having the gall to not express an opinion on the Collins episode. Apparently, a number...

A New Plan Let it be remebered, JESUITS DO NOT GIVE UP. They would have to bide their time. They would once again resort to undercover activities as they had so many times before. Their task would be a difficult one, yet for the unfaltering Jesuits, not impossible. They would have to discredit the Reformation. They would have to dislodge the Universal Greek Text from the firm position it once held in the minds and hearts of English scholarship. The would have to "wean" Protestantism back into the fold of Rome. To do this they would use the same plan...

Some of you know that my husband (freeper Lager) works for Assemblyman Mike Briggs (R-Clovis). Briggs ran for the new congressional district seat and lost in the primary back in March. (Yes, it was a devastating blow; you have no idea.) Anyway, Mike Briggs will be leaving the Assembly but last night Steve Samuelian, a fine young Armenian, won big with 62% of the vote. We had a victory celebration at the Bulldog Brewery in Fresno last night. It was great. Steve Samuelian is going to make a great, VERY CONSERVATIVE Assemblyman! Yahoo! For victory & freedom!!!

SACRAMENTO -- Clovis lawmaker Mike Briggs cast a crucial vote late Saturday night to pass a $99 billion state budget that was stripped of tax increases that had kept the spending plan trapped in partisan deadlock for two months.....Briggs, who for months insisted he would not vote for a budget that includes tax increases, said Assembly Democrats met his principal demands: no new taxes and deeper spending cuts. Briggs also said the Republican leadership approved of his vote......The Senate earlier Saturday evening granted Briggs one small plum by approving legislation he wrote that will erect a $3,000 exit sign for...
  • PROTECT CHILDREN in California (AB 2084)

This is from the ever-vigilant Capitol Resource Institute: PROTECT CHILDREN Current law allows schools to dismiss students as young as 12 to receive "confidential medical services," including abortions, birth control and counseling, without parental permission or knowledge. AB 2084, authored by Assemblyman Mike Briggs (R-Fresno), would repeal that provision. Parents need to be able to trust that, once they drop their children off at school in the morning, they will remain there until they pick them up after school AB 2084 will be heard in the Assembly Education Committee next Wednesday. To protect children and parental rights, contact the members...
