It was 40 years ago today that Led ZeppelinÂ’s John Bonham suddenly passed away. The 32-year-old drummer had had a heavy night of 40 shots of vodka, before tragically choking on his own sick. Legendary guitarist Peter Frampton has confirmed "Peter Frampton Finale - The Farewell Tour" presented by SiriusXM. The primarily U.S. tour, produced by Live Nation, will begin on June 18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and continue throughout the summer and fall. The tour will feature special guest JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING, as well as Julian Frampton on the west coast stops, with additional surprise guests to appear on select dates.

On Sept. 25, 1980, at 32 years of age, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham passed away, inadvertently bringing an end to one of rock’s greatest bands. The group’s final studio effort ‘In Through The Out Door’ had been released in Sept. 1979 after many delays. In May 1980, the group performed what would be their last European tour. That September, the band was in rehearsals at guitarist Jimmy Page’s house in advance of an American tour.
