Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Seriously, Democrats, just stop it. Nobody outside of your little thought-free bubble wants any more of Georgia gubernatorial looooooser Stacey Abrams than we’ve already seen. Asking for more Stacey Abrams is like that great old SNL skit where Christopher Walken keeps asking for “more cowbell!” Note to Democrats: Ain’t nobody got a fever whose cure is more Stacey Abrams. And please, somebody tell Samuel L. Jackson that for me, ok? Here was Mr. Jackson on Stephen Colbert’s show Monday night, expressing his disappointment with the current Democrat field of candidates,...

Could Joe Biden be the Ron Burgundy of politics, a campaign version of the empty suit TV anchor portrayed in the movies by Will Ferrell whose undoing is his tendency to read anything put in front of him on a teleprompter, including the line penned in by a vengeful competitor. “Go **** yourself, San Diego”. Or could Joe Biden be the real-life equivalent of the character Chauncey Gardiner played by Peter Sellers in the 1979 movie Being There. He played a clueless gardener mistaken for a Washington poobah whose simple-mindedness and lack of protocol is mistaken for deep wisdom. In...

Distressed at what she characterized as "unforgivable incompetence at the FBI," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) sought to fend off what she considers "unwise and impetuous demands for Trump's impeachment," by assuring the Democratic caucus that she too "wants to see Trump in prison." "I wish I could just snap my fingers and make it happen," she told colleagues, "but there are too many barriers between what I'd like to do and what I can do. The FBI and Director Comey let us down big time. The Agency has been able to put countless people behind bars over the years—planting...

I've used a computer running Windows 7 to file our federal taxes for several years. Microsoft will stop support and security updates on January 14, 2020. We always file as soon as we get all tax forms (usually early February). Wondering if we would be safe doing the same one more time. Thoughts?

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) declined to address a report that found the highest level of terrorist group recruitment has taken place in her congressional district. According to a Fox News report from February, “More men and boys from a Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined – or attempted to join – a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country.” The city of Minneapolis is located in Omar’s district. “FBI stats show 45 Somalis left to join the ranks of either the Somalia-based Islamic insurgency al-Shabab, or the Iraq- and Syria-based ISIS...

You probably never thought Madonna and President Donald J. Trump would agree on anything but they both think that the New York Times sucks. Madonna, in her black pussy hat, “resisting” the President with a foul-mouthed speech about blowing up the White House, or something. President Trump’s complaint is that they report fake news and generally hate America: The complaint from the woman who put the V in vulgar is about publishing a celebrity profile - “Madonna at Sixty” - on her that she found neither adequately deferential nor fawning enough. And this despite having given their journalist access to...

Hunters Lodge's 'warehouses are like a time machine back to the glory days of the surplus mail order gun.' Those of you old enough to remember the glory days of mail order guns in the 1960s cannot forget Ye Old Hunter. This was the company that Interarms, the largest international arms dealer in the world at that time, used to dispose of the obsolete surplus military weapons it had acquired. Prices were cheap, as low as $9.95 for whole columns of advertised guns, and the U.S. Mail delivered them directly to your door without you having to pay a dealer...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) There’s a senate race in Texas, and the Democrats have no viable candidates. – Texas Dems floated Wendy Davis’s name as a potential challenger to incumbent Senator John Cornyn back in March, and boy did that one come up a crapper. No one, it seems, not even the ghouls at the Texas chapter of Planned Parenthood, want to return to the days of “Abortion Barbie.” But what are the Democrats to do? Who are they going to field as an alternative to Davis who might scratch the 40% mark against Cornyn? San...

Lately we've been hearing on the news about the many Americans falling ill and/or dying in the Dominican Republic, namely in resort hotels. I've seen that there are daily flights to Punta Cana from Europe & Russia -- three a week from Dusseldorf, three a week from Moscow, daily direct flights from Heathrow and Gatwick in England, a few direct from Toronto and Montréal in Canada -- the list goes on and on. Question: Have there been any reports of ill or dead Europeans or foreigners in the Dominican Republic? Very suspect that the only victims are Americans. Conspiracy theory:...

The Los Angeles Times ran a piece that is demonstrated just what is wrong with today's ramped up rhetoric. The headline read, "Call immigrant detention centers what they really are: concentration camps." No. That is a lie. The centers are nothing like concentration camps. No one is tattooed with a number. No one is worked to death. No one is sent to gas chambers. There are no mass cremations in fact there are no cremations at all. Running that piece was irresponsible because it downplays the evil that Hitler and his nation did. The American left has demoted Hitler. He...

President Donald Trump will award the nation's highest military honor to former Army Staff Sgt. David G. Bellavia for actions in Iraq, the White House announced Monday. Bellavia was leading a squad in support of Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah on his 29th birthday in November 2004 when his platoon was pinned down by gunfire as he went from house to house. Bellavia engaged the insurgents, providing cover that allowed members of the platoon to exit safely. He later re-entered the house and killed at least four of the insurgents, who were firing rocket-propelled grenades. "That remarkable day, then-Staff Sergeant...

Former Secretary of State and loser of the 2016 presidential election Hillary Clinton lambasted Sen. Bernie Sanders (S-Vt) as a "sore loser who refuses to graciously concede defeat." Inasmuch as Clinton has spent much of the time since November of 2016 carping about her loss to Trump—blaming the Russians, Comey, sexism, election rules, etc—her lack of introspection is stunning. Based on what transpired during the 2016 Democratic primaries, one could argue that Sanders was an amazingly gracious loser considering all the Democratic National Committee did to rig the process to ensure that Clinton would get the nomination. Clinton insisted that...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is by now well-known for getting facts wrong and displaying jaw-dropping ignorance from economics to trains to laws. But only well-known in one universe, the one reported by right-of-center news and commentary outlets and their consumers. Too often, consumers in this universe, in which The Revolutionary Act exists, think that once something is reported at Fox News, the Washington Examiner, the Daily Caller, Breitbart News, or others, it is known to the American people. But this is wrong. Because in the other universe, one populated by the mainstream media largely ignoring or downplaying her gaffes and on...

Saturday afternoon, poolside. Traeger was smoking away. Family was in the pool. I was manning the Traeger and got a phone call from my brother. We spoke and I automatically put the phone in my pocket. My swimsuit pocket. Yeah, you know what happened next. Decided to take a dip. I hit the water took a lap. That was when I realized the phone was still in my pocket. Took it out, took it out of the case, dried it off and plunged it into a bag of rice. Wait 36 hours one website said. Today: Phone works with no...

Davidson College has an impressive academic reputation. It has a student-faculty ratio of 10:1. Nearly 90 percent of its courses have fewer than 30 students each. Its six-year graduation rate is 91 percent. And it has matriculated 23 Rhodes Scholars. It also has one of the worst track records for free speech in North Carolina. The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has labeled Davidson a “red light” institution for its campus policies that “clearly and substantially restrict” student and faculty speech. That’s despite the school’s assertion that it is a “community founded on trust as articulated by the Honor...

Debates have come across stating that the .22 rifle is not a serious caliber for those into guns. The .22 caliber doesn’t have the knock down power to take down a medium size game or let alone stop an attacker inside your home. From a survivalist needs, the .22 caliber is one of the many invaluable source to have when feeding yourself and family. For small game like rabbits and squirrels, the .22 caliber is perfect. Using a larger caliber is just a poor choice of tools for this task. The availability and pricing for the .22 caliber is on...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) It’s very predictable that Jeff Greenfield can’t predict anything accurately. – Dinosaur DC Swamp creature Jeff Greenfield had a typically vapid piece in Politico on Sunday that sums up the sorry state of media punditry in the nation’s capital quite nicely. It’s a piece filled to the gills with the vapid nostrums and shibboleths adhered to by the DC pundit class, and thus exactly what we would expect to see published in Politico. Greenfield, who bills himself as “a five-time Emmy-winning network television analyst and author,” has been completely wrong about everything...

The "Southfront" quotes Syrian military sources as saying that Al Qaeda and Turkish backed nationalist forces..... "Crucify him, crucify him" That's roughly what's being said in the heartland of Islam, the homeland of Wahabbi theology and the Al-Qaeda movement that's fighting on in places like northwestern Syria right now..... In Hong Kong Sunday a large protest against a proposed law to allow extradition to the Chinese mainland..... A campaign of civil disobedience underway in Sudan Sunday against the military government....
