Capital Management Services keeps on growing. The call center operation, which provides debt collection and customer service for clients, is hiring to fill 100 jobs, said Larry Costa, the president. "We're doing outstanding work for our clients, so they're rewarding us with additional work." The .260 Remington and 6.5 Creedmoor are very similar rounds. Both are 6.5mm bullet diameter and compatible with .308 Winchester rifles with a barrel switch. The .260 Remington is well-known within the hunting circles, the 6.5 Creedmoor is basically the new unicorn of the long range precision shooting crowd. New shooters embrace the 6.5 Creedmoor without having to know how to reload. The 6.5 Creedmoor was design to be competitive at the top level of high-powered long range competition using factory ammunition plus being novice reloader friendly. The other factors that made this cartridge more appealing to the competitive shooter...

Marianne Williamson, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, argued that reparations for descendants of slaves are a “debt we owe” as a society. Williamson has suggested allocating $100 billion to a council that would spend the money on programs that benefit African-American ancestors of slaves as a form reparations. Williamson was asked how she would pay for reparations, specifically where she would allocate the money from in the federal budget. In response, Williamson said that "nobody" asks that same question when tax cuts are passed or when wars are waged.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Dear Cher: Sometimes it is better to stay silent and be thought a fool than to send out a tweet that proves the point. – President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) had already gotten pretty much every leading national Democrat in America to admit they really don’t want to have all those inconvenient illegal immigrants placed in their self-designated “sanctuary” cities and states. From Nancy Pelosi to Chuck Schumer to Mayor Pete to Lieawatha to Spartacus, they’d all weighed in by reciting the same talking points...

Under New Zealand’s new mandatory buyback confiscation law, owners of semi-automatic firearms have until September 30 to turn them in. But based on this Reuters report, authorities are expecting only a fraction of those who own the newly outlawed guns to comply. Police Deputy Police Commissioner Michael Clement told a news conference on Thursday that they are not sure how many guns they would receive as New Zealand has no law requiring people to register firearms.

Subtitle: John Adams Reconsiders Republican Government. The American Revolution wasn’t a simple colonial rebellion against English imperialism. It was first and foremost a social revolution. We can hardly imagine today the leap in men’s minds from a stratified social order in which all honors were gifts from a King, to that of free and equal republican citizens. In his 1776 Thoughts on Government, John Adams viewed politics as a straightforward struggle between rulers and the people. Cast off monarchy, and indeed all executive authority, and let a virtuous people govern themselves. The Articles of Confederation reflect this reliance on public...

U.S. Congressional representative Katie Porter (D-California) doesn’t seem to think that children need a father, and doesn’t seem to care about the density restrictions and other anti-development laws that increase the cost of housing in California U.S. Congressional representative Katie Porter (D-California) recently talked about “Patricia,†one of her “constituents†who lives in Irvine, California. Here’s a video of part of Porter’s statement, from the Washington Post channel at YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QKOLydDfNgSince Porter said she looked up the salary of Patricia’s job at monster.com, I am guessing that “Patricia†is fictional. Nevertheless, I will go along with this, and offer my comments and analysis.Patricia...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s support in Congress: Lesley Stahl: “You have these wings– AOC, and her group on one side” Pelosi: “That’s like five people” (snip) Reily Connaughton @ReilySeanConn “I do reject socialism as an economic system. If people have that view, that’s their view. That is not the view of the Democratic Party.” -@SpeakerPelosi on @60Minutes 8:06 PM - Apr 14, 2019 Waleed Shahid, a former AOC staffer, was not happy with the remarks: Waleed Shahid ✔@_waleedshahid That's quite a way to...

Last month, Chris Buskirk wrote a column for the Spectator USA describing Representative Devin Nunes as “a hero of the Republic.” It was well-deserved praise. Nunes, a Republican Congressman from a rural district in California was, until January, chairman of the House Permanent Special Committee on Intelligence (he is now the ranking member). Nunes has worked tirelessly for more than two years to expose what our masters in deep-state Washington would bury from the glare of public scrutiny: the evidence that the entire Trump-Russian collusion narrative was a partisan effort, first, to undermine the Trump presidential campaign and, when that...

Full title: Eugene Robinson On The Tens of Thousands Crossing The Border: "It's Not That Big A Deal For Us To Handle" "Washington Post" columnist Eugene Robinson and this week's "Meet The Press" roundtable discuss the illegal immigration crisis. (snip) EUGENE ROBINSON: "Look, you could have that conversation. And you could make a deal. But not with Donald Trump. You couldn't with a president who says, "Let's get rid of judges," you know? As David said, it is performative. It is showing what a tough guy he is. It is not finding solutions to problems. We're a country of 330...

The suspect accused of throwing a 5-year-old child off the balcony of a Mall of America has been named as 24-year-old Emmanuel Deshawn Aranda. The victim, Landen Hoffmann of Woodbury, Minnesota, suffered “significant injuries” after he was hurled from the balcony of the mall in Bloomington. “A bystander who police say witnessed Aranda push the child stopped him from fleeing the scene,” reports the Daily Mail. Aranda is being held at the Hennepin County Jail on an attempted homicide charge. He was convicted of misdemeanors stemming from two separate incidents at the mall in 2015 and was banned from re-entering....

Although he actually died at 7:30 the following morning, today is the anniversary of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) on 14 April 1865, only five days after Lee's surrender at Appomattox. Lincoln was very fond of the theater, and that evening, he and Mrs. Lincoln - likely in a celebratory mood because of the end of the Civil War - attended a performance of the comedy, "Our American Cousin", by English playwright Tom Taylor at Ford's Theater on 10th Street NW in Washington. There, following the intermission, actor and Southern sympathizer John Wilkes Booth managed to gain access...

Some thoughts on Julian Assange's arrest and the war on information.

History will not be kind to James Comey. He will be characterized as the architect who destroyed the integrity of the FBI. Comey has a powerful tendency not to see things as they are in the eyes of the law, but through the prism of his own biased eyes. Comey violated FBI protocols to try to nail Trump. Comey exonerated Hillary Clinton long before she was even interviewed by the FBI. Comey leaks, but when he does it he does not believe it is a leak. To this day Comey says he doesn't know who paid for the Russian dossier....

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested by UK police and is expected to be turned over to US authorities in the near future. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton professed herself “pleased that this international villain will finally get what he deserves for saddling the world with Donald Trump as the US president. His role in invading my privacy and publishing emails that I went to great efforts to conceal sabotaged my assured election as the 45th president of the United States.” Clinton predicted that Assange’s claim that “the ruled have a right to know what their governments are doing...

Finally, our children can't refuse to associate with sexual deviants because that's now considered schoolyard bullying About a week ago, a local TV station aired a newscast titled “Schoolyard Bullying”. In the story, a woman said that her son, who identified as a female and liked to wear dresses and makeup, was the victim of bullying by other students. In her words, they shunned him and some even made fun of him. She said her son had been bullied because of his gender identity, and she thought public schools should make an effort to “better educate” children about sexual diversity...
