Capital Management Services keeps on growing.
The call center operation, which provides debt collection and customer service for clients, is hiring to fill 100 jobs, said Larry Costa, the president.
"We're doing outstanding work for our clients, so they're rewarding us with additional work."
Costa declined to identify the clients, citing confidentiality agreements, but described them as "among the largest financial institutions in the country."
Capital Management Services has about 800 employees spread across four locations in the Buffalo Niagara region. The company has two locations in South Buffalo and two in Amherst. It has a fifth location in Pennsylvania, with 175 employees.
The company has expanded the scope of its business since it was established in 2000, Costa said.
"We started as a collection agency but we're really diversified. We do all types of call center work."
Along with collections, the company provides customer service work including answering questions about customers' existing mortgages, loan verification for an online lender, and activation of customers' credit cards.
"We've really changed the complexion of the company, and we're doing very well," Costa said.
People interested in applying for the jobs can call 566-2600. The company needs to hire a mix of agents and managers to perform call center work. Costa said the pay range starts as low as $13 per hour, but new hires can make more based on their level of experience.
Ah, “service sector” jobs. And a particularly reviled part of that sector.
Nothing that would generate wealth, such as fracking. Prince Andrew banned that.

Don’t forget the employees that were hired in NY State at credit card collection centers - muslims from the Islamberg compound. There were articles years ago that these people worked in the collection centers in Deposit, NY and also as toll takers at the NY State Thruway. Can’t find those articles now but not exactly a comforting thought of them being in places where they could cause all kind of havoc such as call centers. “Have credit card numbers for sale - cheap!”
