Cristhian Rivera, the illegal alien on trial for murdering University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts in August of last year, has asked for a change of venue. He claims that the likely jury pool won’t constitute a “jury of my peers.” “How can a jury of white corn farmers fairly assess the fate of a Latino immigrant?” he asks. “They don’t know what it is like to trek hundreds of miles to secretly cross the border. They don’t know what it is like to work at menial jobs for low wages? They don’t know how difficult it is for a...

VIDEO A discussion as to why April 1 could be the perfect day for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to release his long awaited report. We also see ABC News senior correspondent Terry Moran emphatically declare that it would be YUUUUUGE news if no Trump-Russia collusion is found in the report and how there would be a big reckoning for both the Democrats and the mainstream media.

I’m not blaming them, they’ve been subjected to anti-capitalism pro-Gaia propaganda since they were old enough to watch Sesame Street. They were praised for everything and nothing, collected gold stars and participation trophies without ever even having to try. They’ve been taught that the culture they were born into is nothing but the summary of 9 evil isms: Capitalism, Colonialism, Racism, Sexism, Classism, Ableism, Ageism, Heterosexism and Anti-Semitism – although that last one is now open for negotiation. Current proposal is to replace it with Islamophobia. The five “faces” of oppression - violence, exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, and cultural imperialism - formed...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) The great media retrenchment begins. – So, what if, as the rampant speculation around Washington and facts of the matter indicate, Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller finds there was no collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia? ABC’s Terry Moran had this to say on his network’s “This Week” program yesterday: “That’s a reckoning for progressives and Democrats who hoped that Mueller would essentially erase the 2016 election. It’s a reckoning for the media. It’s a reckoning around the country if in fact after all this time there was no...

If you're into precision long range shooting or hunting, you might want to listen to this guy. He's a former USMC sniper. The following is an excerpt from Caylen Wojcik while he was on a training shoot, he shares with us malfunctions that happens while you’re in the midst of shooting and goes over on what you can do about it. This was an awesome stage, and I thought it was well thought out. This one involved 4 targets: 2 on the north side of the firing line, and 2 on the south side of the firing line. Targets on...

A black college lacrosse player has been arrested in connection with two incidents of racist graffiti found in a dorm on the Goucher College campus in Maryland. Fynn Ajani Arthur, a 21-year-old from Brunswick, Maine, was charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property on Thursday night in Baltimore County. His arrest came after graffiti aimed at black and Latino students was found on the second floor of a campus dorm, one floor above where similar graffiti had been found on November 14, Goucher College administrators said in a statement. Both incidents that shook the Towson campus involved backward...

“There is a natural inclination in mankind,” wrote Benjamin Franklin, “to Kingly government.” He wasn’t alone. Convention delegate Hugh Williamson (NC), thought “it was pretty certain . . . that we should at some time or other have a King,” but he wished to postpone the event as long as possible. James Madison and George Washington made similar observations. Even John Adams in his Defense of the Constitutions of the United States of America predicted a future government “nearer (in) resemblance (to) the British constitution,” including a hereditary king and senate.1 Among the delaying features of our pre-17th Amendment Constitution...

Ever since the failed witch hunt against the Covington boys in Kentucky, a lot of leftists have been ranting online about ending charter schools, Catholic schools because it "breeds "white supremacy". Why? What's their end game?

.............The broad outlines of Bernie’s long-running infatuation with all things Soviet Russian are available to diligent researchers. We know Bernie went to Moscow for his honeymoon. This is sort of passed over and laughed off by his supporters, but it should not be. It that era it was considered a signature event in the life of a dedicated American communist. Something many American communists looked forward to as a culmination of their connections with the movement. This was frequently accompanies by other highly symbolic gestures, like getting married in a Red Dress, or having the wedding ceremony itself in the...

The Club for Growth sees the ex-Texas congressman as a serious threat to Donald Trump, and they're treating him accordingly. A prominent conservative group is thrusting itself into the Democratic primary with a TV ad assailing Beto O’Rourke — a move that comes as Republicans consider a broader campaign to meddle in the opposing party's contest to take on President Donald Trump. The anti-tax Club for Growth is expected to begin airing a two-minute commercial in Iowa this week aimed at dampening liberal support for O’Rourke, who's expected to enter the race any day. The spot paints the former Texas...

World War II veteran Mitchell Tendler—a man who survived numerous historic milestones, including the Korean War, Vietnam, Watergate and President BIll Clinton’s impeachment—fell sick on Dec. 29, at 93 years old, reported NPR. "I got a call at 11 o'clock. My mom said, 'Well, Dad's not feeling well—he really can't stand,'" Tendler's son, Walter, recalled. "Within a couple of hours they called 911 and got him into the ER because it wasn't getting any better." "It just was quiet for a little while," Walter Tendler told the news outlet, "and then he just sits up in bed halfway and looks...

Bill Nye, the climate activist and renowned television host of “Bill Nye The Science Guy,” came out in support of the Green New Deal, a plan to combat climate change by investing in eco-friendly jobs. “AOC gets it. She sees that fear is dividing us. We can address income inequality. We can address climate change, if we get together and get to work. #SXSW @AOC,” Nye tweeted with a photo of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), one of the plans most vocal advocates.Nye has long discussed the dangers of failing to address climate change and has advocated for bold proposals to...

Socialism demands a return to childhood dependence and the infantile world of subjective reality epitomized in the Green New Deal. Socialism is a tough sell to Americans who evaluate ideas based on facts and a remarkably easy sell to Americans who evaluate ideas based on feelings. The adult world of facts is a foreign land to the infantilized world of feelings where low-info millennial voters currently dwell. The heated political battle between Americanism and Socialism parallels the battle between parents and their children who refuse to grow up emotionally and leave the nest. Becoming an emotional adult requires embracing a...

Despotism exhibited by Congress is a sign that America has already entered into a despotic tyranny that will end in the destruction of the Constitution along with our rights, liberty, freedom; that is unless we throw the Democrat socialists out Last Friday, the Democrat controlled house passed the partisan “For the People Act.” Although the bill isn’t over 10,000 pages long, like the Affordable Care Act, it’s still equivalent to reading a large novel, and once again Congress had to pass it to find out what’s in it. Unlike novels, the plot isn’t obvious to the reader, and the bill...

There’s nothing like a manufactured scandal to cripple your opponent when the going gets tough. Just ask President Donald Trump, hamstrung by fake news stories of unproven Russian collusion. Mainstream Media Style? The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Canada’s $1-billion-dollar-a-year taxpayer-funded state television network, seems to have come up with a winning race horse to take scandal-plagued Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to reelection in October. From what appears to be a planted town hall question in Kitchener, Ont. Thursday night, the CBC was among the first news outlets to pounce on a story linking Conservative leader Andrew Scheer to the thoroughly debunked...

Every time I pass the little girls in the grocery store, dressed in their uniforms selling Girl Scout Cookies, helicopter moms hovering behind them...........I have the urge to tell them that because of the corrupt relationship that exists between GS and PP, I won't be buying their cookies. And, to tell them that PP sells live baby body parts for lots of money....and further to tell them to look it up for themselves....and to close with 'don't believe anything your parents and teachers tell you' 'think and find out for your selves'......It then occurred to me that if we had...

Unable to cobble together a majority of her Party willing to vote for a resolution condemning the repeated anti-Semitic propaganda issuing forth from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) was able to get an insipid statement opposing hatred through. “Since there are so many hateful things being said and done in the world, our caucus didn’t think it would be fair to single out Rep. Omar for rebuke,” Pelosi explained. “On top of that, it was pointed out to me the Quran commands Muslims to hate Jews and that criticizing her for following the commands of her faith...

A recently retired friend is thinking of selling his home (which is paid for) and buying a boat for himself and his wife to live aboard without ever having lived aboard a boat before. Are there any FReepers who have done something similar, or who have experience living this kind of lifestyle, or have advice I could maybe pass on to them?

Ben Buckley is a fair-dinkum Aussie character living in Benambra among the mountains which are the roof of Australia. He is an octogenarian free spirit. A libertarian who cares deeply about the way the nanny state is making prisoners of us all. Until very recently he was still flying his small planes around South-Eastern Australia. He loves and trusts guns and gun owners. He has been a local government Councillor for four decades. He has been suspended for practicing free speech in violation of the code of conduct which makes government too secretive for Ben. Are the modern forces attacking...
