The Campaign Update Week in Review (Because The Campaign Never Ends) The Week in Review, courtesy of the @GDBlackmon Twitter Feed… The week started with a really bad poll for the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez/Bernie Sanders Democrats, and went downhill from there.:

“What Kind of Son Are You?” (Luke 4:1-13) “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” So came the Father’s voice at Jesus’ baptism. Yes, Jesus is the Son of God. And we know from the rest of the New Testament that Jesus is the Son of God in a unique sense, a one-of-a-kind sense, in his very being. As we said in the Nicene Creed, Jesus Christ is “the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of his Father before all worlds.” He is the Second Person of the Trinity, true God, divine in his very nature. In...

Speaker Nancy Pelosi at a press conference in Austin, Texas, focused on “new immigrants” and their right to vote. When we talk about newcomers, we have to recognize the constant reinvigoration of America that they are, that we all have been – our families. And that, unless you’re blessed to be Native American – which is a blessing in itself that we respect – but that constant reinvigoration of hope, determination, optimism, courage, to make the future better for the next generation, those are American traits. And these newcomers make America more American. And we want them, when they come...

THE VILLAGES, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - A "Make America Great Again" flag is causing some controversy in a Florida retirement community. At The Villages, a resident proudly displays the pro-President Donald Trump flag in their yard, right below the American flag. A neighbor, who goes by the name Colonel, says he likes it. "Mr. Trump is our president. We should be supporting our president. Whomever the president is. I supported the previous president and all the others regardless of party." he said.

In the 1970s, my Dad flew from his home in Pennsylvania to a medical center in Houston to have a then-innovative bypass surgery that extended his life by more than three decades. At the same time, my wife's family was sending bottles of aspirin to their relatives in the Polish socialist paradise. That dichotomy—Americans receiving cutting-edge medical care even as Eastern Europeans were lacking the rudimentary medicines—always stuck in my mind as I've written about political systems. To understand socialism, one needn't fixate on its most-horrifying elements—gulags, executions and endless repression. Think about the simple stuff. After Boris Yeltsin joined...

"It's normal that the mobilization is less strong. It's raining, it's bad, people have the right to stay with family. Why Democrats are Ramping Up Abortion Efforts By Philip Cottraux In the ancient city of Karnak is the Ashkelon Wall, an Egyptian record of the military victories of Ramses II. The wall is divided into sections but the largest primarily focuses on a treaty with the Hittite empire. On either side are epic depictions of Ramses’ armies victorious in battle; the siege of Ashkelon is most intriguing. As the Egyptians surrounded the city, its citizens committed the ultimate act of desperation, throwing their own children over the defensive wall in a massive act of child-sacrifice. This misguided practice seems to...

Conservative Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been widely criticised for saying on International Women’s Day that it is against his government’s core values to support the advancement of women at the expense of men. What he actually said was very mild and supportive of the advancement and empowerment of women. His mistake in the eyes of kneejerk critics was to remember that men count too. “See, we’re not about setting Australians against each other, trying to push some down to lift others up,” he said. “We want to see women rise. But we don’t want to see women rise...

The future of American health care is playing out over at our cousin’s place across the Atlantic — Great Britain — if anyone cares to take the time to look. And you should, because if any of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates win the White House and get their way in Congress, we’ll end up a British-style healthcare system. It’s a system that has been failing for years but is now near collapse. The vaunted National Health Service, which is full-on socialized medicine — “Medicare for All” is what it will be called in the U.S. — has hit an...

Assume for a moment that America fully embraces free trade, and it works exactly as planned: we offshore all our low-margin production to developing countries, and this indeed frees-up our population to work in lucrative industries like product design, finance, management etc. While this may make America richer (in the short term), it will not necessarily make Americans richer. Why? Not everyone can be an engineer, investment banker, or lawyer—most people just aren’t smart enough, and many more don’t have the personality for it. It’s harsh, but true. Charles Murray explains in his seminal book The Bell Curve that human...

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced it will not allow Fox News to host any of the 2020 presidential election debates. DNC Chairman Tom Perez cited "the network's hostility toward our Party's positions and policies. It would be unfair for our candidates to have to answer questions from our political enemies." President Trump was quick to mock the DNC's decision. "I guess the Democratic candidates need a host that will give them the questions in advance. They have so little confidence in their ability to explain their crazy ideas to the American people that they want a reliable CNN or...

It has begun. It will not be long before DNC meetings begin with the Islamic call to prayer. Nancy Pelosi has surrendered her party to Islam. No matter what Pelosi says, Ilhan Omar is now in command. Pelosi has been cuckolded. Omar has spouted out a parade of antisemitic comments that have inflamed many on both sides of the aisle. She pretended to apologize but then continued her antisemitic rants. Members of the House- including democrats- wanted a resolution condemning her utterances but Pelosi protected her. Instead of properly singling her out Pelosi rolled a resolution condemning all "hate" and...

Dr. Martin Luther King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, accuses Democratic Party supported Planned Parenthood of what Rev. Dr. Clenard H Childress Jr. calls "Black Genocide." King points out “The leading cause of death in the African-American community is not gang-violence, gun violence, heart attack, stroke, HIV, high blood pressure, diabetes. People will name all these. No, it’s abortion. And the reason we have come to that conclusion, statistically, you’ve got 60 million plus abortions legal in America since 1973. About a third of those occur in the African-American community. That means dead babies. And, with us being 13 percent or...

VIDEO One side effect of desperate liberal hope of salvation from Robert Mueller in the form of his long awaited report is the plethora of Robert Mueller merchandise, Mueller Merch, available on the Web. This video reviews some of the bizarre Mueller Merch along with suggestions about what liberals can do with it after the Mueller Report does not go the way they want.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she doesn’t recycle her plastic bags because her city’s recycling program is too “tough†for her to understand On February 24, 2019, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a live video on her Instagram account where she was talking about different political issues while peeling and cutting sweet potatoes.A guy named Gob Abierto posted several different excerpts from that video in a string of tweets at this link, which has since been deleted. I watched a bunch of those excerpts before the tweet string was deleted. The internet archive has a copy of the same tweet string at this link, but...

It’s true: it’s that time of year again, already. Time to reset your clocks. In addition to death and taxes we are now required to surrender an hour of our time to government; tomorrow morning at 2:00 AM you are mandated to turn your clock ahead one hour (unless you live in Arizona or Hawaii where they successfully rebelled against this tyranny years ago). What they do with our hour is anybody’s guess but when we finally get it back next November I know it will be greatly devalued.Like the dollarIn the past you could protest by refusing to adjust your...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Was he 1/1024th Indian, too? – Hey, we’re gonna need a new nickname for Fauxcahontas, ‘cuz now she’s pretending to be the reincarnation of Teddy Roosevelt. That’s right, your favorite fake Indian decided yesterday that she needed a new schtick to help her bust through what has pretty much been a virtual media blackout on covering campaign, and decided it would just be a great thing start talking about breaking up all the big monopolies, as The Bull Moose did in the early 20th century with Standard Oil, the railroads and other...

Well here we are again on a weekend when there was a call for Yellow Vests presence near the Eiffel Tower in Paris all weekend. Plus calls for protest today Saturday in Paris and other cities like Bordeaux. There have been stories about protests possibly at Charles de Gaulle Airport today. We shall see.
