Don Blankenship, the former coal baron who spent time in federal prison and finished third in the West Virginia Republican primary in May, is wading back into the state's U.S. Senate race, this time attempting filing paperwork to run as a member of the Constitution Party. Blakenship tweeted photos of himself filing the paperwork on Tuesday, saying in part, "I am the only candidate who cannot be bought by out of state billionaires and I will work hard to drain the swamp."

Former West Virginia coal magnate Don Blankenship says he’s ready to get back into the West Virgnia senate race. Blankenship said he has collected the requisite number of petition signatures and will be filing with the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office in the next two weeks. Blankenship, who was defeated in the Republican May 8 primary by state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, accepted the Constitution Party nomination on May 22. “We have submitted more than the required petition signatures to the Secretary of State,” Blankenship said in an email on Friday. Collecting petition signatures is one of the obligatory...

Don Blankenship, who was defeated in his maverick bid for the Republican nomination to run for Senate in West Virginia, said Monday he’ll run as a third party candidate in November, tossing the race in turmoil. Mr. Blankenship said he has accepted the nomination of the Constitution Party, saying it was a natural fit for his views — and suggested he was out for vengeance against President Trump’s political team. “This time, we won’t get surprised by the lying establishment,” he said. “We were assured by White House political staff that they would not interfere in the primary election. Obviously,...

. Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship, who finished third in the West Virginia Republican Senate primary, plans to run for West Virginia Senate as a third-party candidate. Blankenship announced on Monday he’d run as the Constitution Party nominee, Politico reported. He said he’s willing to challenge the state’s “sore loser” law that would prohibit him from running in the general election since he already lost a major party’s nomination. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey won the GOP nod May 8 to take on Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin III in November. Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonzales rates the race a...

Don Blankenship isn’t done being a thorn in the side of the GOP. The ex-con former coal baron announced Monday morning that he plans to run as the Constitution Party’s nominee for Senate, a move that could damage his former party’s chances at defeating Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) if he’s able to actually get on the ballot.
  • Vanity - Fake News & Fake Polls!!!

Actually the "Trumpies" did fine last evening producing three strong Trump/Conservative senate candidates to run against Democrats losers, Joe Manchin, Sherrod Brown & Joe Donnelley. Brown & Donnelley will lose their seats and Joe Manchin is hanging on the edge of defeat. As for Fake News & Polls...it was getting their egg in face time last, as they once again lied to West Virginia voters, in an attempt to get Blankenship elected as the primary winner. Poor Blanky finished in the basement, dead last. Folks...you can toss all mainstream polls into your garbage bin..period. As for the hyped, oncoming Democrat...

Internal Republican polls show ex-coal CEO and former convict Don Blankenship in the lead a day before West Virginia’s Republican Senate primary, prompting more GOP fears about a Blankenship surge. SNIP Some Republicans worry Blankenship’s controversial past could jeopardize their chances at unseating Manchin. In a last-ditch effort to suppress Blankenship, Trump on Monday urged voters to reject the former coal executive and instead vote for either Jenkins or Morrisey on Tuesday. “To the great people of West Virginia we have, together, a really great chance to keep making a big difference,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Problem is, Don...

Apparently, the left will stoop to any level - any at all - in order to make a cheap political point. With the horrible accident ongoing and the fates of some miners still not known, the propagandists have already begun linking the West Virginia mining disaster to Tea Parties, global warming, and capitalism. Oh, and remember when President Bush somehow got blamed for the Sago mine disaster?! Surely, the Chosen One could have done something for these poor down-trodden workers...

The march away from a credible, accountable judiciary took another leap yesterday, as a 5-4 Supreme Court majority gave federal judges unprecedented oversight of state court recusal standards. This is more damaging than it sounds. West Virginia's Massey coal company CEO Don Blankenship spent some $3 million in 2004 on the judicial election of Brent Benjamin to the state Supreme Court of Appeals, including donations to outside groups. When a case involving Massey later came before Judge Benjamin's court and he ruled in favor of Massey, the loser sued and claimed a denial of due process because the judge didn't...

Richard Blankenship, a top GOP fundraiser from the Jacksonville area and former ambassador to the Bahamas, is stepping off Mitt Romney's Florida finance team, and the Buzz is he's about to hop aboard the Rudy Giuliani express. In a letter to the Romney campaign, he called Mitt and Ann Romney "wonderful people," but said he had become "uncomfortable" supporting the campaign and that Republicans needed a candidate with broad appeal across America. Blankenship has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Bushes, has personally given tens of thousands to the GOP efforts, and has frequently loaned his Cessna for campaign...

Candidate says criminal past not his Tuesday, June 13, 2006CAROL ROBINSON and ROBERT K. GORDONNews staff writers Ronald Wayne Blankenship, a candidate in the runoff for the Democratic nomination for Jefferson County sheriff, says it's coincidence that a man with a criminal past shares his name and birthdate. It's strange but true, he says, that both he and a man who faked his own death in 1990 are married to women named Judy Ruth Green Stonecipher Blankenship. Blankenship calls himself an underdog. The Bessemer shoe shop owner received 12,218 votes or 25.9 percent in the June 6 primary last...

He gets revenge against a systemthat works unfairlyHe was shot at more than a dozen times during three strikes. Several of his employees were shot at, and a truck driver was shot and killed. Under state law, the State Police could not stop the violence because it happened during a strike. He did not get mad, he got even. He sued in federal court and had the law overturned. The violence ended. And now, Don Blankenship is getting back at the state's establishment. He spent a blue million last year in a 527 campaign to depose Warren McGraw as a...
