Good grief - I suppose now that Bush is leaving, they'll have to focus their hatred towards Palin: The Republican vice presidential candidate attracted criticism for accusing Mr Obama of “palling around with terrorists”, citing his association with the sixties radical William Ayers. The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with supporters yelling “terrorist” and “kill him” until the McCain campaign ordered her to tone down the rhetoric. But it has now emerged that her demagogic tone may have unintentionally encouraged white supremacists to go even further. The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid...

The Republican vice presidential candidate attracted criticism for accusing Mr Obama of "palling around with terrorists", citing his association with the sixties radical William Ayers. The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with supporters yelling "terrorist" and "kill him" until the McCain campaign ordered her to tone down the rhetoric. But it has now emerged that her demagogic tone may have unintentionally encouraged white supremacists to go even further. The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid October that they had seen a dramatic increase in the number of threats against the Democratic candidate, coinciding...

Barack Obama is president-elect of the United States because the Republican Party and John McCain handed him the presidential election on a silver platter. The Republican Party and the Bush White House walked away from Republican ideals, and they walked away from Republican values. George Bush allowed the Republican Congress to overspend in the first six years of his administration without once using the veto pen; he blindsided the conservative Republican members of Congress on many occasions, and walked away from the base of his party on immigration reform and other issues such as Medicare and No Child Left Behind....

News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCain’s loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Allah’s got the vid clip of a report citing unnamed McCain staffers accusing Palin of lacking, in Carl Cameron’s words, “knowledgeability.” At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks. Let’s assume the rumor-mongers are telling the truth for a moment. Who does it damn more: Sarah Palin or McCain and his vetters who green-lighted her for the vice presidential nomination? Don’t need an Ivy League degree to...

I've been thinking since the election results came in and I truly believe that Sarah Palin is not the reason McCain lost. I wasn't going to even vote for McCain this year until he picked Sarah Palin. McCain lost the election for several reasons: 1) Was never a true conservative. Campaign finance reform and immigration was nuts. 2) Did not let Sarah be Sarah. After RNC convention, Sarah should have been on the couch at Fox and Friends, interviewed by Hannity and Greta before Charlie and Katie. 3) Withdrawing from Michigan. 4) Voting for the bailout bill. 5) No consistent...

Well, that mean ol' Sarah Palin ruined everything for the St. Louis Blues hockey team, darn it all. That's right the media's newest Cheney replacement must have been planning this monstrous attack on the Blues' goalie for weeks. Her next trick: world domination. At least this seems to be how MSNBC and the Associated Press feel about it all. What am I talking about? Well, Palin visited the Blues' arena to see a game on October 24 and it seems that Blues goalie Manny Legace tripped on the carpet that the team laid on the ice so that Palin and...

In response to Republican demands that Congress investigate how Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae imploded, Barney Frank said today: “In an unusual event, even by this year’s standards, House Republicans appear to be demanding a criminal investigation of their failure to legislate,” said Frank in a statement. “The Republican demand that their legislative record of non-action be investigated appears to be the political equivalent of the note left to the police by serial offenders: stop me before I do not legislate again.” This is the same Barney Frank who said in 2003: ''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie...

Protesters blame Frank for crisisBY JIM HAND SUN CHRONICLE STAFF Saturday, October 18, 2008 2:39 AM EDT WESTPORT - About 15 protesters called for the resignation of U.S. Rep. Barney Frank Friday, saying he is responsible for the recent crisis in the financial markets that required a $700 billion government bailout. The protesters claimed Frank supported regulations that forced banks to make risky mortgages to low-income families who could not afford to own homes, leading to foreclosures and the failure of financial institutions. "He was pushing loans to people who could not pay them back. It was social engineering. He...

By Dr. Tom Snyder Sen. John McCain this week blamed Sen. Barack Obama and his Democratic “cronies” in Congress for lighting the match that started the economic collapse in America, including the current stock market crash, the current credit crunch and the failure of America’s banking system. McCain pointed out in his debate with Obama Tuesday night that Obama and Democrats like Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Mass.) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-NY) blocked attempts by he and other Republicans to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the two largest mortgage institutions in the country. Backed by the government, Fannie Mae and...

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. (More at www.FernleyNews.com)

Elon, N.C. — Nearly half of North Carolina residents blame the Republican Party for the nation's economic crisis, according to a poll released Friday. Elon University surveyed 477 people statewide this week and found that 47.7 percent felt the Republicans are more responsible for current economic problems, compared with 24.4 percent who blamed the Democrats. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points. By a 43-to-33 percent margin, respondents said Democrats have done a better job of managing the economy than Republicans. The margin between Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama GOP candidate John McCain...

Speaking at a rally in Columbus, Ohio this afternoon, Republican presidential nominee John McCain defended his controversial decision to "suspend" his campaign as an example of his action-packed leadership style. “Inaction was not an option,” McCain said. “I put my campaign on hold for a couple of days last week to fight for a rescue plan that puts you and your economic security and working families first. I fought for a plan that protected taxpayers. I went to Washington last week to make sure the taxpayers of Ohio and across this great country were not left footing the bill."

It’s been raised as a possibility and was even dismissed by former President Bill Clinton, however Senate Majority Whip Richard Durbin, D-Ill., said former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan is partially at fault for the current economic crisis. According to Durbin, speaking at the Center for American Progress Headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 26, said it was Greenspan’s support of the 2001 Bush tax cuts and his reluctance to use regulatory authority to slow down subprime lending. “I can’t stand here in defense of Alan Greenspan,” Durbin said. “He was also the man who rationalized the Bush tax cuts...

After days of intense bipartisan negotiations and meetings today at the White House, the deal to bail out staggered investment banks may be dying amid partisan finger-pointing. Republicans blame Democrats. Democrats blame Republicans, and a key Democrat even pointed a finger at Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain. House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., told Democratic colleagues that McCain's sudden heightened involvement in the negotiations has destroyed chance of an agreement, sources told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. Frank compared McCain's involvement to "Richard Nixon blowing up the Vietnam peace talks in 1968."

Arizona State University economics professor says that bailout disgusts him, but warns of terrible aftermath if something isn't done. He actually compliments President Bush! But most importantly, he blames Congress for passing legislation that caused the subprime crisis and says that Congress must remove Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) or we will suffer yet another meltdown and bailout. Read between the lines - he is blaming Congressional Democrats. Look for featured video on right. He is guy that sort of looks like Jesse Ventura. http://www.azcentral.com/video/

IsraelNN.com) The man that Israeli leaders consider to be the Number One threat to the existence of the State of Israel told the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday that 'Zionists" are the cause of the current financial disaster sweeping the world. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also told world leaders, "A few bullying powers have sought to put hurdles in the path of Iran's peaceful development of nuclear power. These are the same countries that possess stockpiles of nuclear arms that no one is monitoring." It is believed that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction despite Ahmadinejad's denials....
