Call it an ominous warning, but Fox News Channel afternoon host and ratings sensation Glenn Beck is warning the government is strengthening its grip of power it's not going to stop at the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Beck, on his May 6 program cautioned viewers on his May 6 broadcast that the government is out of control, noting that Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests were a weekly occurrence, including efforts to make the TARP bailout more transparent earlier this year from the Treasury Department. ...more (w/video)...

The nation’s largest left-wing newspaper and the bible for network news producers and bookers may be going under. This past week, The New York Times [NYT] announced more staggering losses: nearly $75 million in the first quarter alone. The New York Post is reporting that the Times Company owes more than $1 billion and has just $34 million in the bank. A few months ago, the company borrowed $250 million from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim at a reported 14 percent interest rate. With things going south fast (pardon the pun), Slim might want to put in a call to Times...

Thursday, Debra Burlingame and Hamilton Peterson appeared on The Factor with Bill O'Reilly to discuss the release of OLC memos. (See disclaimer at the end of this post.) Some portion of Islam is conducting a war upon both Islam and America. Torturing Muslims, raping Muslims, baking Muslim children in ovens, strapping bombs to mentally handicapped Muslims and setting them off among Muslims, cutting off Muslims' heads, and hanging and shooting Muslims as "spies" in soccer stadiums is al Qaeda's foreign policy, not American foreign policy. The only genocidal war being conducted is the one al Qaeda is waging. They seek...

Here is a summary. The whole entire NBC family, owned by General Electric, has been by far the most pro Obama network for a long time now. General Electric has been faltering ever since Jack Welch was succeeded by Jeffrey Immelt. The NBC family has been losing money for years. Furthermore, their finance divisions, GE Capital and the now defunct WMC Mortgage, have created billions in red ink. Right now, the company is heavily lobbying the administration for bailout funds. The stock is down near 70% since he took over nearly a decade ago.

It has been something that there have been rumblings about, but no one has really put the x's and o's together entirely - that General Electric (NYSE:GE) is using its media arm, NBC Universal to promote President Barack Obama's so-called progressive agenda for its own financial gain. However, as just previewed by Amy Ridenour, Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly attempted to do so at the top of his April 23 "The O'Reilly Factor" broadcast during his "Talking Points Memo" segment. O'Reilly outlined how Obama has gotten support from the NBC networks both pre-election and post-election. "Will General Electric get...

Was Harry Smith trying to cover for Pres. Obama? Or was he simply expressing astonishment at the bone-headedness of the contemplated move? In any case, the Early Show anchor left no doubt that the notion of appointing Caroline Kennedy as US ambassador to the Vatican was a non-starter non-pareil. Chatting this morning with Bill O’Reilly, a semi-regular Early Show guest, Smith called the floating of Kennedy’s name “too stupid” to be true. HARRY SMITH: Let me ask you about this. Caroline Kennedy: there’s this story . . . BILL O’REILLY: It’s unbelievable! SMITH: Wait, wait, wait. Here’s my question: do...

Whenever Bill O'Reilly appears on the David Letterman show you just know sparks are going to fly due to Letterman's inability to keep his anger managed and last night's show did not disappoint although it seems that Letterman now appreciates the ratings O'Reilly brings him. First Letterman established once again his liberal credentials in the opening monologue by slamming Republicans but, of course, not Democrats. First he did a bit about an image "PSA" about saying "yes" to shady contracts with Halliburton and torturing Gitmo prisoners. This was followed by "Cool/Not Cool. Of course Barack Obama was "cool" compared to...

Bill O'Reilly did a segment on all the frivolous ethics charges against Governor Palin, and the legal bills they're causing her to rack up. After Lis Wiehl pointed out that politicians are not allowed to advertise these funds, and that the max contribution is $1000, O'Reilly promised that he would advertise the fund so she wouldn't have to, and contribute $1000 himself. Here is Bill making his promise (forward to 1:00 to start): Video at Link

Here is video in two parts of Bill O'Reilly appearing on The View yesterday. O'Reilly was his usual combative self, with The View "ladies" being -- well, you know! They discuss the GOP, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Steele, Obama's "Special Olympics" remark, and many other topics . . . . . . . (Watch Video)

The TV ratings for February have been tabulated, and in the world of cable news there is weeping on the left. Fox News Channel, which is generally tougher on the president, hammered the two networks that most favor President Obama -- CNN and MSNBC. In fact, Fox News was the third-highest rated prime-time cable network in America, behind USA and TNT. CNN was 15th; MSNBC, a dismal 23rd. Also, unique visitors to the Obama-loving website Daily Kos have declined a whopping 73 percent since last fall -- a disaster. What's going on? It all has to do with fear. While...

Bill O’Reilly’s giving up his day job. He’s leaving “The Radio Factor” and passing the baton to Fred Thompson. Thompson has an incredibly serpentine career path. Actor. Senator from Tennessee. Actor. Presidential candidate. Actor. And now, radio talk show host. The Washington, DC-based “Fred Thompson Show” will focus on politics and pop culture. He’ll have guests and take phone calls. It will premiere on more than 125 stations March 2. One one hand, we’re not really sure if the slow talkin’ southerner will be a very compelling radio host. On the other hand, his wife Jeri Kehn is hot. Good...

BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In the "Back of the Book" segment tonight: part two of my interview with Whoopi Goldberg. Our BillOReilly.com poll asked if I should apologize to Helen Thomas for making fun of her last week. Almost 80,000 folks voted. Ninety-three percent say no apology is necessary. Well, Ms. Goldberg disagrees with that. [VIDEO AVAILABLE AT LINK; LIABILITY WAIVER MAY BE REQUIRED]

Days ago Bill O’Reilly had some choice words to say about a woman who in my personal opinion was never anything more than a liberal propagandist, turned communist, err I meant columnist, Ms. Helen Thomas. Ms. Thomas has sat in the front row in the White house Press room pretending to be a non-partisan journalist for so many years that she has become a living fossil, err I meant living legend. In fact, she has asked questions in or appeared on the front row of the White house Press Room more years than I can remember. It’s very likely that...

The stunning announcement that a California woman had given birth to octuplets was greeted warmly in some circles. The birthing doctors were all smiles, and the media hyped the "human interest" part of the story. Eight babies! Wow! But behind the high-fives lies a very troubling situation. This may be child abuse at the highest level. Here are the facts: The mother, Nadya Suleman, is a 33-year-old single mom already raising six young children in the small home of her parents. Nadya is a health care worker who, according to her mother, became pregnant with all the children through in...

# “I don’t know if his grasp of the bill is what it should be.” # “He’s not living in the real world.” # “I want President Obama to be a leader. A leader. And right now, I think he’s confused.” # “I’m worried about Barack Obama losing control of the process.” — Bill O’Reilly, The Early Show, 02-05-09 Appearing on the Early Show this morning, Bill O’Reilly painted a portrait, as seen from the quotes above, of a confused Pres. Obama who is losing control of the economic recovery process. What made the Factor host’s portrayal all the more...

FOX "The O'Reilly Factor"Video: "Minnesota Madness" Segment Aired Friday, January 9, 2008 Bill and two Republican guests(1) discuss Hollywood’s and George Soros massive donations to elected “Porn-o-Rama” Franken. This includes, a rare and calculated move(2), by George Soros who personally held a large post-election Franken fundraiser at his residence in New York City to support Al in the ballot recount/contest(3). I wrote about and published the list of Hollywood/high profile Franken donors three days before this news piece, not that this was new Soros Shadow Party news for anyone that has closely followed/been involved in this Coleman-Franken fiasco....

"Red Eye" host Greg Gutfeld marvelously blasted the insufferable Keith Olbermann Friday for his "homoerotic obsession with Bill O'Reilly." This deliciously came hours after the "Countdown" host bashed former Nixon administration figure Chuck Colson for having the nerve to speak out in favor of California's Proposition 8 which defined marriage as a union between one man and one woman. What really caught the ire of Gutfeld and company was a false assertion Olbermann made on air Wednesday about what transpired on a recent "Red Eye" (video embedded right, partial transcript below the fold):

How'd you like Sean Hannity as editor of the New York Times op-ed page? Maybe O'Reilly and Cavuto in place of Dowd and Krugman as Times columnists? It might not be as far-fetched as it sounds. At least, not if Michael Wolff is right. The Vanity Fair media maven, appearing on CNBC this afternoon, said that Rupert Murdoch not only wants the Gray Lady, but would get her. [H/t Gat.] View video here [via CNBC]. MICHAEL WOLFF: I think that everybody is looking at [the NYT] and waiting for it to kind of go over a brink, to run out...
