Bill O’Reilly’s just plain over-worked, and can’t keep doing radio. Yes, it’s official, final, confirmed, and you-won’t-have-Bill-to-kick-around-any-more for-sure. That leaves a hole in the daytime schedule for Westwood One, whose then-CEO Joel Hollander convinced the Fox News Channel personality to host a daily “Radio Factor” starting in May 2002. Now the New York Daily News has Bill saying he’ll be giving up his daily radio gig “in the first quarter of next year.” The affiliate count of 430 stations looks very impressive, and Hollander said it was the biggest coordinated launch of a talkshow ever back in ’02. But some...

Fired “Backstage” host Barry Nolan is suing Comcast and CN8 for more than a million bucks, saying the cable company violated his constitutional right to rip Fox News bigfoot Bill O’Reilly when they sent Nolan packing last spring. “This media outlet violated the very Constitutional principles upon which the press relies for its ability to speak freely and fetter (sic) out the truth,” Nolan says in his $1.2 million lawsuit. Nolan, you may remember, went on a jihad last April when the Boston Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chose to honor Mr. No Spin Zone...

The investigation of men accused of plotting to attack soldiers on Fort Dix led Wednesday to a guilty plea in a very different sort of case. Cherry Hill municipal court clerk Debra H. Benecke admitted fixing two traffic tickets for one of the suspects. "She made a dumb decision to try to help out someone who really couldn't help himself," her lawyer, Scott Schweiger, said in an interview. Benecke pleaded guilty to tampering with public records. Benecke, who worked for the courts for 14 years, faces probation when she is sentenced on Feb. 1. The 49-year-old is also barred from...

You may remember that Nancy Reagan fought against drug consumption by urging Americans to "just say no." Now we need Mrs. Reagan again because some poorly run corporations are asking for taxpayer bailouts and loans. They want charity from hardworking Americans who are getting pounded in a chaotic economy primarily caused by irresponsible businesspeople. The situation is totally out of control. Leaders of the three major American car companies showed up on Capitol Hill this week stating that if billions in government loans were not forthcoming, they would go bankrupt. And how did many of these executives get to Washington...

San Franciscans famously fought back against Bill O'Reilly - the conservative Fox news anchor who really, really hates our city - when he said back in 2005 that the U.S. military shouldn't defend San Francisco in case of a terrorist attack. "You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead," he said. Everybody from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Supervisor Chris Daly railed at O'Reilly, calling his comments outrageous. Not content to leave well enough alone, O'Reilly has now sent an underling to the city to make a documentary to show where, supposedly, the politics of President-elect Barack Obama...

Conservative radio host Mark Levin fired back at Bill O’Reilly Thursday evening after O’Reilly delivered a blistering diatribe on his own radio program earlier in the day, attacking conservative talk radio hosts for opposing a $700 billion bailout for the financial industry and calling them “idiots,” “charlatans,” and “right-wing liars.” “What a buffoon,” Levin said of O’Reilly, host of Fox News’ "The O’Reilly Factor.” “He doesn’t want to talk about socialism. He doesn’t want to talk about the beginnings of this scandal. No. The same guy who claims to have led the boycott against France that forced France to do...

If the Los Angeles Times had a video of John McCain toasting a supporter of the old South African apartheid government, does anyone think they wouldn't release it without hesitation? However, because the Times has a video of Barack Obama toasting former PLO operative, Rashid Khalidi, at an Israel-bashing party that also included terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, they are now coming up with all sorts of absurd legalistic reasons as to why they can't release the video. Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has posted the messages between a reader and the a Los Angeles Times representative about...

Bill O'Reilly has signed up for another tour of duty at Fox News...Fox is expected to formally announce the four-year deal today, and the decision by O'Reilly -- who will be paid more than $10 million a year -- was not unexpected. After re-signing Sean Hannity and luring Glenn Beck from CNN's Headline News in the past two weeks, Fox has solidified a right-leaning lineup that has kept the channel's ratings well ahead of its rivals'. "The O'Reilly Factor" has been the top-rated program in cable news for nearly eight years, with the host's high-decibel commentary generating both loyal fans...

I DID fall off my chair! Here are direct quotes from Bill O'Reilly's opening segment this evening: 1. Obama is a brilliant politician 2. I don’t have a problem with Barak Obama 3. Obama has been up front about who he is 4. Obama has been more consistent 5. He isn’t a deceiver He may as well join the ranks of Kathleen Parker and other (ex)conservative media that are now very comfortable with an Obama Presidency. FOX today ok'd delaying the World Series for Obama's TV appearance. We use to at least be able to depend on FOX. Those...

One of my favorite parts of hitting the campaign trail is chatting with cabdrivers, who always seem especially eager to discuss politics. (Listening to talk radio all day will do that to you.) Take my cabbie this evening out on Long Island. A black man in his mid-40's who arrived in the U.S. from Jamaica in 1990, Steve was something of an enigma. As we motored from the Garden City station to the local Marriott, Steve immediately asked whether I was attending the debate. I told him I was a reporter for Newsweek. "Is that in the city?" he said,...

When Bill O'Reilly interviewed Barack Obama, Obama said that he wanted to return the top tax rate to the CLINTON years, which was 39.5%. Now, Joe Biden and Obama say that Obama wants to return the top tax rate to the REAGAN yeras, which was 28%. He says one thing to one group, another thing to another group. He initially said that he wanted to give a tax cut to 95% of Americans, and increase federal income taxes for those making over $250,000 a year. But when this was exposed as being a lie - since over 40% of Americans...

Bill O'Reilly has a feature called "Pinhead or Patriot?" on his evening talking head hour. He examines recent actions of people, usually celebrities, and based on those actions, he brands them "Pinhead" or "Patriot". Sometimes I agree with him and sometimes I don't. Sometimes his choices for "Patriot" seem almost condescending, like the recent knighting of Lady Elizabeth Taylor for rolling out on a stage. Yeah, I know...that comment made me a pinhead, but it's true nonetheless. I really doubt that the woman I saw did a whole lot in the way of licking envelopes. Lately I've been disagreeing more...

It’s a special man indeed who can make both O’R’s and Olbermann’s enemies lists. Courtesy of Levin’s producer, a modest response to this morning’s sneak attack reducing Bill to a bold fresh piece of humanity:

Mark Levin played an excerpt of O'Reilly's radio show where O'Reilly said this was Bush's fault because it happened on his watch. It wasn't Clintoon's fault, that the right wing radio hosts were telling lies to their listeners. Mark took Ted Baxter to the woodshed over this. Only got to hear the first half hour of the Mark Levin show so was wondering if he sliced and diced O'Reilly more. O'Reilly also put Rush down. Don't know if Sean Hannity has had any comments or not, but seeing as he is a right wing talk show host who's tv show...

We hear on the internet underground that hackers and/or script-kiddies have declared an internet war against Fox News and columnist Bill O'Reilly and plan a cyber-assault for later today. Reportedly, parts of O'Reilly's site have already been compromised. This is serious business, no doubt. To get to the bottom of the issue, we spoke to an insider, a frequent poster on a certain well known online support group for young-adult agoraphobics where these things are planned and executed. He prefers to remain anonymous. (We starred-out the names of internet sites because, apparently, they don't like to be noticed.) G4: What...

How many watch BOR last night when he had Dennis Miller on? Miller called it concerning Obambi - he stated that Palin is in his head so bad he doesn't know whether to defecate or wind his watch! BOR was speechless while people in the background laughed out loud!
