Donald Trump warned of “slaughter in the suburbs” and called Joe Biden a “sick, weak, pathetic man” in his first rally since surviving an assassination attempt last weekend. The Republican presidential nominee had promised “unity” for the United States in the wake of his shooting in Pennsylvania last Saturday, which shocked the country and triggered a surge in support for Trump in opinion polls. Mr Trump had this week urged his supporters to dial down their rhetoric to focus on national consensus amid a divisive US election race. But at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday night, Trump...

Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia is urging President Joe Biden to drop his reelection bid. Manchin joins a growing number of lawmakers trying to pressure the Democratic president to reconsider his plans to continue campaigning against Trump. Nearly three dozen congressional Democrats have called on Biden to step aside following a debate performance earlier this month that raised open questions about Biden’s ability to mount a convincing campaign. Manchin, who became an independent in May after years as a Democrat, is not seeking reelection to the Senate. His remarks came Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Coronavirus-stricken President Joe Biden might be down but he firmly believes he is not out of the 2024 race to the White House and on Sunday remained huddled with top political aides to plot a return to the campaign trail. Bloomberg reports the appeals from vulnerable House and Senate Democrats for Biden to depart have only intensified as the president has been quarantined at his Delaware beach home after he tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday.

Alarmed group texts that buzz with the latest news. Rank-and-file staff dusting off resumes. A desperate rush to finish top initiatives before the clock runs out. As President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign buckles under mounting pressure for him to step aside, federal workers throughout Washington are feeling anxious and scared. They have been nervously looking on as Biden’s abrupt evaporation of support has embroiled the Democratic Party in an unprecedented crisis, prompting thousands of employees to game out whether they should be preparing for a change at the White House — and mourning the possible end of the Biden administration...

Pass the Torch, a new grassroots group calling for Biden to step out of the 2024 presidential race, held a rally outside the White House on Saturday. “Thank you, Joe; it’s time to go!” the group chanted outside the gates. Organizers say approximately 100 people were in attendance. President Biden has faced intense pressure from members of his own party to forfeit the Democratic nomination since his disastrous debate performance at the end of June. As of Saturday, 35 Democrats have publicly called for Biden to step aside. In a statement issued before the rally, Pass the Torch explained their...

The federal government ran another big deficit in June, as the national debt inches closer to $35 trillion.$35 trillion USD.Trillion with a 'T.' That's an unfathomable number. It's meaningless to most people. We simply can't comprehend a number that big.Let's try to put the $34.9 trillion national debt into perspective.According to the National Debt Clock, every American citizen would have to write a check for $103,565 to pay off the national debt. Of course, a lot of people don't pay taxes. That means the taxpayer burden is much higher. Every U.S. taxpayer would have to write a check for $266,953...

I’ve argued previously that former first lady and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would like one more bite at the apple, and as Biden’s reelection candidacy implodes, her name has popped up once again. Frankly, I’m surprised it’s taken this long. The Hill opinion contributor Pablo O’Hana thinks Rodham Clinton is just the woman who can save the president’s chances:“But who?” The strongest argument against replacing President Joe Biden as the 2024 Democratic nominee is the notion that no suitable successor exists. But there is, and not just a good one but one of the most qualified people ever to run...

Neither Donald Trump nor Joe Biden is the other guy. This, we are frequently reminded, is their principal advantage in the eyes of many. It may be the only advantage Biden has left after decomposing in real time on the debate stage. Ironically, though, not being each other is one of the few important things these two men have in common. In 2024, a sizable portion of the electorate — maybe the majority — will vote not for a presidential candidate but against his opponent. It’s enough to make you wonder whether the whole affair is an apotropaic exercise, a...

Joe Biden is reportedly fuming as he isolates at his Rehoboth Beach house following a so-called Covid diagnosis. Feeble Biden claimed he is “stuck at home with Covid” as he tried to take a swipe at Trump with a post on X. Pathetic. I’m stuck at home with COVID, so I had the distinct misfortune of watching Donald Trump’s speech to the RNC. What the hell was he talking about? — Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) July 20, 2024 According to The New York Times and CBS News, Joe Biden is angry with Pelosi and Barack Obama as coordinated leaks aim to...

Democrat National Convention delegates are openly discussing what would happen at the August convention if Biden either refuses to step aside or drops out of the race — pointing to a “good-conscience loophole” that lets them vote for a new candidate of their choosing. DNC delegate Elaine Kamarck briefed other delegates .. that the apparent “loophole” allows for such a rebellion by letting convention-goers bolt if they no longer have a “good conscience” about their pledged choice determined by primaries and caucuses. ... DNC’s rules state: “Delegates elected to the national convention pledged to a presidential candidate shall in all...

President Joe Biden is reportedly fed up with his pals, former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over what many are calling a coup d’état within the Democratic Party’s nomination process. Several people close to Biden told the New York Times on Friday that the embattled president sees Pelosi as “the main instigator” and Obama as “the puppet master behind the scenes” in efforts to remove him from the 2024 race. Biden’s anger seems to be triggered by a plethora of leaks and stories from anonymous sources suggesting he has considered passing the torch to a successor,...

REHOBOTH, Del. — As President Joe Biden faces a wave of new calls from elected officials to end his re-election bid, his political allies are actively exploring ways to publicly demonstrate he still has widespread support among key elements of the Democratic Party’s base, according to three Democrats familiar with the discussions. In some cases, the demonstrations of support are organic, coming from organizations and constituencies that are concerned the party infighting is hurting their goal of defeating Donald Trump. They include Black clergy members, as well as Latino community leaders and progressive activists to show grassroots support for the...

July 20 (UPI) -- President Joe Biden's national security advisers say he's up to the job while former officials cast doubt on his ability to protect his legacy from Donald Trump. National security adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Joint Chiefs Chair C.Q. Brown at this week's Aspen Security Forum in Colorado insisted Biden is fully capable of steering the United States through a global landscape marked by fears of Russian and Chinese aggression. "I am damn glad we have that guy sitting at the head of the table in the Situation Room," Sullivan said Friday in...

Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton are privately supporting Biden and have been encouraging donors to continue giving and stick with the president, two sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. One source described the Clintons’ support as "encouraging," "supportive" and "deferential" to Biden’s decision to stay in this race. Several members of Biden's senior staff including, deputy chief-of staff Annie Tomasini and Steve Richetti, the president's counselor, are in Rehoboth, Delaware where he is recovering from COVID-19. As they have been since the debate, Richetti and Biden’s senior staff continue to “listen” and...

WASHINGTON — Sick with COVID and abandoned by allies, President Joe Biden has been fuming at his Delaware beach house, increasingly resentful about what he sees as an orchestrated campaign to drive him out of the race and bitter toward some of those he once considered close, including his onetime running mate Barack Obama. Biden has been around politics long enough to assume that the leaks appearing in the media in recent days are being coordinated to raise the pressure on him to step aside, according to people close to him. He considers Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker,...

President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday. This is the third time he's tested positive for the virus. Later that evening Biden posted on X, formerly Twitter, two words: "I'm sick". The next post under the thread continued with "of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here." Below was a link to donate to his campaign. The campaign raised $127 million in June.

On Friday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “The Record,” former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Wesley Clark (Ret.) stated that the Biden administration has been “micromanaging at the political level” when it comes to combating the Houthis and this micromanaging, pinprick strategy is like the strategy that “cost us in Vietnam under the Johnson and Kennedy administration[s].” Host Tom Basile asked, “Whenever I hear [about] a strike from the Houthis, I keep on thinking of Gulliver being pestered by these Lilliputians. Why aren’t we taking these people out and why aren’t the Israelis doing it or why aren’t we doing it...
