Source: James Tourtellotte, U.S. Customs and Border ProtectionTomorrow will be 20 years since the discovery of what we call the “World Trade Center Cross” found amidst buried bodies and tons of toxic, smoking rubble. Back on Sept. 10, 2012 — the day before the 11th anniversary of 9/11 — I wrote a piece on PJ Media (before it was a Salem-owned sister-site to Townhall) headlined “Atheist Lawsuit Against World Trade Center Cross Makes Me Want to Scream.” Praise the Lord that the atheists lost their inappropriate and insensitive lawsuit two months after the May 2014 public opening of the 9/11...

North Dakota legislators have proposed a bill allowing public high schools to offer an elective Bible studies class as part of its social studies curriculum. "The intention of this bill is to provide an option to schools to teach a class on the bible from a historical perspective," State Rep. Aaron McWilliams, R-Hillsboro, a co-sponsor of the bill, told Fox News. "My position is that no religious text should be excluded from being taught as it relates to the historical or philosophical influences in our history or on our society today." But the Republican lawmakers have come under heavy criticism...

Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison said at a Democratic event Monday that Republicans doing “Bible studies” in prisons is hurting Democrats’ chances at winning voters. “You know, back when I was in Minnesota State Legislature, I got the impression that maybe Democrats could possibly have an advantage with folks in this area who might vote for us,” Ellison said. “Not true. We will have to fight for their vote like we do with every other vote because I learned that a lot of Republicans will go to jails and do Bible studies and other things.”

By Philip Cottraux Genesis 4:3: And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. Cain was an agriculturalist. His sacrifice may have been the best he had. But it wasn’t what the Lord asked for. Fruit and vegetables cannot atone for sin. Sometimes we can bring the best of what we think God wants. But if it isn’t what He asked for, He won’t recognize it. His brother, Abel, was a pastoralist. Some interpret this story as an allegory for the conflict between agriculturists and pastoralists...

Reilly: Bible studies OK in dorm rooms The president of the University of Wisconsin System said today that university resident assistants should be allowed to conduct Bible studies and other religious activities in their dorms. It was the first time Kevin Reilly has voiced his personal opinion on the subject, which has inspired much controversy in recent months after a resident assistant at UW-Eau Claire complained that he was prohibited from leading Bible study in his dorm. “I’m inclined to take a Wisconsin common sense approach to this,” Reilly told lawmakers at a legislative hearing on the topic. “It seems...
