President Biden will join a star-studded group of entertainers to honor Betty White as part of a prime-time TV special. The commander in chief will appear on NBC’s “Celebrating Betty White: America’s Golden Girl,” on Monday at 10 p.m., the network announced Thursday.

Betty White died after suffering a stroke, according to the “Golden Girls” star’s death certificate. The document from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health lists White’s cause of death as a cerebrovascular accident, TMZ first reported on Monday. The cerebrovascular accident, the medical term for a stroke, happened six days before White died at 99 on Dec. 31. The legendary performer — who maintained a dedicated fanbase throughout her more than seven-decade career — was weeks away from her 100th birthday when she died at her Los Angeles home.
