PORTLAND, Ore. — A decision by Portland city leaders is drawing attention from across the country. Portland is now the first to offer bereavement leave for employees after they have an abortion. City Council unanimously approved the changes earlier this month. Under the new policy, employees are able to take off three days of work after an abortion or any type of pregnancy loss.
