It’s time for New York City Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza to go. Actually, it was time for him to go last year, when he was caught hiring a friend with a financial stake in a company that did business with the Department of Education. Or even earlier, when he declared war against Asian-American parents who ­objected to his anti-Asian school-integration schemes. But now that Carranza has ­directly insulted parents, he ­really needs to go. He should ­resign — or Mayor de Blasio should fire him. The search continues for the suspect who slashed a student at Benjamin Cardozo High School in Bayside on Tuesday morning — and caused a 2 1/2 hour lockdown of the campus that alarmed students, parents and staff alike. On Dec. 11 at around 9 a.m., police sources reported, an unidentified 14-year-old student was sliced in the head with an “unknown sharp weapon” at the high school located at 57-00 223rd St. Officers from the 111th Precinct responded to the scene.
