The law aims to 'affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students.' Every public school in Oregon — including elementary institutions — will soon be required to provide tampons and other feminine products in boys' bathrooms with "instructions on how to use" them. The controversial requirement is in accordance with the state's new Menstrual Dignity Act, signed into law by Democratic Gov. Kate Brown last year, which mandates that menstrual products be made available in "every student bathroom." Following the bill's passage, the Oregon Department of Education developed and distributed a "Medical Dignity for Students"...

EL CAJON, Calif. (AP) — A transgender woman has won a settlement in a civil rights lawsuit filed against a Southern California gym that denied her access to the women’s locker room, the American Civil Liberties Union announced. California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing sued the Crunch Fitness in El Cajon, alleging Christynne Wood was discriminated against on the basis of her gender identity. The ACLU and others later joined the suit, filed in San Diego Superior Court. The financial amount Wood will receive was not disclosed, but the agreement also includes anti-discrimination training for employees at the gym,...

Ann Arbor will require all public restrooms in the city to carry menstrual products under a new ordinance that takes effect in January. It means pads and tampons, as well as soap and toilet paper, will have to be available for free in every public restroom throughout the Michigan city. "We as a society, for too long, have not taken menstruation seriously," Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor told NPR. "Access to menstrual products is a fundamental human necessity." Some U.S. states and cities already supply free menstrual products at certain locations, such as school and homeless shelters, but Taylor said...

It’s a phone call every parent dreads receiving. Earlier this year, Virginia father Scott Smith was notified his 15-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted. While that news was horrific, little did Smith know this would just be the start of a nightmarish series of events in which he would end up being cast as the villain. He can thank Democrats for enabling the whole outrageous affair. The saga began back on May 28 at Loudoun County’s Stone Bridge High School, the sheriff’s office confirmed, where Smith was summoned by school officials. Smith told The Daily Wire he learned his daughter had...

Reacting to the viral story published in The Daily Wire on Monday about a Loudoun County, Virginia, father who charged that a boy, allegedly wearing a skirt, sexually assaulted the father’s ninth-grade daughter in a bathroom, Rep. Dan Crenshaw fired, “Do you get it now? Keep men out of women’s bathrooms. I can’t believe this story. It’s heartbreaking. Parents: don’t stop. Keep up the fight.” The Daily Wire reported that the father’s attorney, Elizabeth Lancaster, told The Daily Wire that a boy was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible...

IKEA has removed hidden security cameras from its warehouse in Peterborough, England, after an employee spotted one in the ceiling void while using the toilet. Workers at the Swedish flat-pack furniture giant were concerned that they may have been spied on while in the bathroom. The discovery was made last week when the lights were switched off. A member of staff spotted what appeared to be a small red light between the panels of a suspended ceiling. When they investigated, they found the hidden camera. When they looked further, they found a number of other cameras above both the men's...

"In Los Angeles, California, the center of urban liberalism, plain ordinary citizens confront the lack of decency when exposed to perverts who declare they have the right to public perversion and the abuse of children without consequence. This is the short summary of the nasty and disgusting outcome at the Wi Spa facility of unrestrained propaganda campaigns to normalize the brazen daily assault on two genders and traditional one man one woman marriage," says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate. President Joe Biden pulled out all the stops for International Women’s Day on Monday, but he arguably undercut women’s advancement while paying lip service to it. He issued a glowing statement about women’s empowerment, launched a Gender Policy Council, and signed an executive order barring “sex discrimination” — including discrimination on the basis of gender identity — in public schools. On one hand, Biden celebrated women’s advancement, and on the other, he forced schoolgirls to share bathrooms and sports teams with biological boys. “On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements, contributions, and progress of women and girls in the...

Mark Vincent Busenbark, a middle-aged man with a cross-dressing alter ego he calls Vica Steel, has been creating intellectual and moral havoc in Frank Allis Elementary School in Madison, Wisconsin for a year. Last school year, Busenbark, a science teacher, created a creepy video about his creepy predilection for cross-dressing and pretending to be sometimes a man and sometimes a woman. Then, with the permission of his administration, he presumptuously showed his creepy “coming out” video to all K-5 students without their parents’ knowledge or consent. In this video, he describes in biased language his disordered and delusional view of...

RICHMOND, Va. — Supporters of the Equal Rights Amendment are so confident Virginia is on the verge of becoming the critical 38th state to ratify the gender equality measure, they are already making plans for how they will celebrate. But that jubilation could be largely symbolic. Despite broad support for the amendment in the state, the ERA’s prospects nationally are substantially more complicated. The proposed 28th amendment to the U.S. Constitution faces a host of likely legal challenges and vehement opposition from conservative activists who depict the ERA as a threat to their stances on abortion and transgender rights.

The battle over the rights of “transgender” and “cisgender” people continues to escalate in one of the most influential arenas: our nation’s schools. The Chicago Tribune reported this month that after a four-year battle, a school board in Palatine, Illinois, has granted transgender students “unrestricted access to locker rooms based on gender identity.” Just a few days later, CBS News Minnesota reported a mother had sued her local school district, claiming that it discriminated against her child for being transgender. These are just two of the most recent stories showing just how prevalent the transgender debate in schools has become....

I live in Fairfax County, Virginia, which has the 10th-largest public school district in the nation, but I never focused on our public schools. My kids go to Catholic schools, and that was the center of our universe. I never focused, that is, until I heard that the Fairfax County School Board voted to let boys into the girls’ bathrooms. The vote was 10-1. Was there only one sane person on the Fairfax County School Board? I had to find out. So I began attending school board meetings. And there I saw moms and dads begging the school board to...
