A few years ago, “ghost gun” homemade shotguns were appearing at gun “buyback” turn-in events, as makers of the simple shotguns cashed in on the money to be had. Gun “buyback” is an Orwellian term. You cannot “buyback” a gun you never owned before. In a recent turn-in event on October 23, from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio, it appears two of the shotguns were turned in for $50 each. The guns show a bit of craftsmanship. The hose clamps are nicely clipped instead of having excessive over-run, the stock is inletted for the barrel and clamping...

A kind-hearted Deputy was rewarded with a potentially deadly attack in Dawson County, Georgia on December fifth, about 2:40 P.M.  Sargent Randy Harkness has been with the Dawson County Sheriff's office for more than 23 years.  He gave a courtesy ride to Justin Alan Foster to the local Chevron station. He was in the process of providing some personal charity to Foster in the form of a small cash gift, when Foster attacked him.  From fox5atlanta.com:Foster then fled across the road to the McDonald’s parking lot where he assaulted an elderly woman. Additional “good Samaritans” at the McDonald’s detained...

In September of 1774, Dr. Joseph Warren wrote the Suffolk Resolves.British statesman Edmund Burke cited the Suffolk Resolves as a major development in colonial animosity, which eventually led to the Declaration of Independence. The Suffolk Resolves stated: “That it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity, by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve those civil and religious rights and liberties, for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations … and that the inhabitants of those...

AR15s are now by far the most popular gun being sold on the civilian market in the United States. By some estimates, nearly a quarter of all firearms sold in 2014 and 2015 were so-called “Assault Rifles” like the AR15, of this 25% figure, the vast majority were AR15s or variants thereof.Since 1995 (the year after the 1994-2004 Assault Weapons Ban), the FBI has maintained a very detailed list of how many people have died at the hands of assault weapons and/or rifles, which are merged into the same group. Therefore, we can make a solid comparison on what gun...
