Becker County investigator John Sieling says the 29-year-old mother, from Perham, handed the bucket with a child in it to a stranger early Sunday morning and then walked away. Sieling says authorities were called to the festival grounds Sunday morning at three. A woman had been watching the baby for about three hours since the mother had given her the pail. Sieling says county chaplains found the mother a few hours later and told her authorities had her child.
