The chairman of the city Democratic Party was charged with public drunkenness after allegedly intervening in a police investigation of an assault at the Parker House bar late Wednesday. "Do you recognize the name? Do you know who I am?" the party chairman, Art Moran, asked Patrolman Robert Hegedus, according to an affidavit filed by the officer.
