The loose hacker collective Anonymous says it has taken revenge on a US security company whose principal claimed to have penetrated the group and identified some of its key people. They hacked the Twitter account of Aaron Barr, the chief executive of HBGary, and sent out a series of angry tweets while many Americans were watching the Super Bowl match on Sunday night, allegedly including Barr's social security number and address, and his mobile phone number.

Two weeks ago, I wrote of the Department of Justice’s overreach respecting some of the hundreds of January 6 defendants. On Friday the D.C. Circuit clipped the department’s wings. I expect more such losses as time goes on and the Department must actually present evidence in contested trials. The ploy of keeping in D.C. jails without bail some of the protestors who engaged in no specific violent acts at the Capitol until their cases can be heard was very obviously designed to compel them to plea bargain so they could return home to their families and jobs, and the three-judge...

The U.S. Justice Department on Friday said it expects to file criminal charges against more than 100 additional people who allegedly participated in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, in what it described as probably the most complex investigation it has ever handled.More than 300 people already face charges stemming from the siege, which left five people dead and more than 130 police officers injured as thousands of supporters of former President Donald Trump tried to prevent Congress from certifying his election defeat. The Justice Department made the disclosure in court filings seeking 60-day extensions in some cases so...

Perhaps someone out there is keeping track, I thought I’d ask the question: Do we have a list of those that have been arrested? I asked this question along with a few others in a previous post. It’s been 3 weeks as of time of this writing. And to expand:• Are they in federation custody? (i.e. did they make bail?)• Do they have legal counsel?• Have any spoken out on their current legal status and/or defense?• Have they been charged federally or by the state?• Have court dates been set?• Has their employment status been affected?• And what about Ashli...

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio campaign worker seen in an undercover video last year appearing to persuade a woman to change her vote faces a long list of felony charges after being arrested Wednesday, according to the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Raquel Rodriguez faces charges of election fraud, illegal voting, unlawfully assisting people voting by mail, and unlawfully possessing an official ballot, according to a press release from AG Ken Paxton’s office. “Many continue to claim that there’s no such thing as election fraud. We’ve always known that such a claim is false and misleading, and today we have...

In China, we are seeing forced televised confessions, a mass surveillance state, the killing of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs, and what many are calling a genocide of the Uyghur people. 83 global brands, including major U.S. companies, are tied to Uyghur forced labor in China. Over in Hong Kong, 53 pro-democracy activists, lawmakers, and lawyers were arrested on Jan. 6 under the draconian national security law. Despite all this, the EU recently announced a major trade deal with China. American Thought Leaders interviews human rights activist and writer Benedict Rogers, founder of Hong Kong Watch and deputy...

Based on this information, it appears that the breakdown of the barricades began at least 12 minutes before Trump's speech ended, by people who were over a mile and a half away from Trump. Although the loudspeaker system was massive, it is doubtful that the people bringing down the barricades could hear Trump from the loudspeaker system. Extremely vivid videos of the prelude to and a breach of barricades and entry into the Capitol Building are here and here on a YouTube channel that identifies "independent photojournalist Jon Farina" as the videographer. It does not appear that people in the...

More than 50 of Hong Kong's most prominent pro-democracy activists and politicians have been arrested in the biggest crackdown since China imposed a draconian security law last year. About 1,000 police took part in morning raids on 72 premises across the city. Those held helped run an unofficial "primary" to pick opposition candidates ahead of postponed 2020 elections. They are accused of trying to "overthrow" the government. Activists say the new law aims to quash dissent. China's government imposed the legislation on the semi-autonomous territory in June, saying it was necessary to curb months of sometimes violent pro-democracy protests. Beijing...

How do we drive down violent crime? At one point in the not-so-distant past, America figured out the answer — lock up violent criminals rather than releasing them. Chicago may have reinvented this wheel over the past month, as local law enforcement announced earlier today. Homicides dropped almost by half in August and shootings declined by double digits: Homicides and shootings reported last month in Chicago were down from a month ago, according to data collected by Chicago police. The 63 murders reported in August was a 45% decrease from July, while the number of shootings decreased by 15%, Chicago...

Local and state Democrat (and some Republican) politicians are being arrested in droves July 30, 2020 by DC There have been multiple attack fronts in the take-down of the deep-state cabal. It’s happening at the top from the President with specific executive orders, the administration with the human trafficking and financial crimes investigations and prosecutions, globally with law enforcement working with our allies, and also from the local and state levels throughout the country. Most people who follow current events focus on high profile stories. The take-down of NXVIM, Jeffery Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell are examples of major criminal...
