What’s in a name? Everything for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The New York Democrat blasted Fox News host Laura Ingraham and her guest for mocking how she pronounced her name and saying she does so because it’s a “Latina thing.” “If by ‘the Latina thing,’ she means I actually do the work instead of just talk about it, then yeah, I’m doing ‘the Latina thing,’” she wrote on her Twitter page late Wednesday. “Unless of course she‘s talking about being multilingual, which we know isn’t a ‘Latina thing.’ It’s a ‘21st century’ thing.” Ocasio-Cortez also said that Fox News’ hosts incorrectly...

Is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi losing her grip on the Democratic Party? Students at Georgetown University apparently think so. Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips visited the campus in Washington, D.C., to ask people about the intra-party struggle between the old guard, like Pelosi (D-Calif.), and more progressive, far-left lawmakers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her outspoken freshmen colleagues. Students were asked: “Between Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who do you view as the face of the Democrat Party?” The results went overwhelmingly in the freshman congresswoman's favor. “She’s got the people. We’re in a time of extremes, she’s pulling pretty...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) spoke Saturday at an event focused on eliminating private education and boycotting "racial" and "gender-biased" standardized testing. The "Education Town Hall" organized by Jackson Heights People for Public Schools included a medley of New York's progressive organizations. NYC Opt Out, New York State Association for Bilingual Education, Network for Public Education, Class Size Matters, Alliance for Quality Education, and Allies for Public Education participated. During the event, Diane Ravitch, professor at New York University and former U.S. assistant secretary of education,...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-CA) said during a Thursday House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing that illegal aliens residing in her district were her “constituents.” Ocasio-Cortez, who led with a quote from Kansas Republican Secretary of State Kris Kobach, asked Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross about his plan to add a “citizenship question” to the 2020 U.S. Census when she made the remarks about illegal aliens being her constituents. “Mr. Kobach later emailed to you on July 14 writing that the lack of the citizenship question ‘leads to the problem that aliens who do not actually reside in the United States...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., charged on Tuesday that a selective New York public high school should have admitted more black applicants this year, saying their relatively low admit rate was an "injustice" and a "system failure" -- although an objective state-mandated test is used to determine admissions decisions, and low-income Asian students took most of the spots. In her fiery social media post, Ocasio-Cortez pointed to news reports that only seven black applicants secured offers of admission to Stuyvesant High School this year, out of 895 available slots. "68% of all NYC public school students are Black or Latino," Ocasio-Cortez...

Last week, Beto O’Rourke, who in November lost his bid to be a U.S. senator from Texas, announced to America with great excitement that he’s running for president of the United States. A beaming Beto left the unmistakable impression that he could not wait to run — for our benefit as well as his. Here was a grandiose opportunity to bestow the gift of his person upon the eagerly awaiting masses. Beto O’Rourke’s announcement promised nothing less than a moment of truth — provided in the form of Beto O’Rourke. Practically hopping out of his seat, with his wife aside...

Alexandra Rojas was shocked. So was Waleed Shahid. The two vocal leaders of Justice Democrats, an advocacy group whose uncompromising style has made it a nuisance among Washington traditionalists, had a meeting request from aides to Senator Elizabeth Warren, who was fresh into her presidential campaign. As Ms. Warren sought to push the party to the left by proposing expansive liberal policy ideas, her team was prepared to seek counsel from organizations that did the same. “They want us in their court,” Ms. Rojas said. “They know that if they want to win, they need to have the support from...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was quietly dropped as co-manager of a political action committee last week, just days after campaign finance experts questioned whether her role with the outside group was legal. Justice Democrats, a federal PAC that helped Ocasio-Cortez get elected to Congress last year, quietly filed corporate paperwork removing Ocasio-Cortez as one of the group’s “governors” in Washington, D.C., on Mar. 15, the Daily Caller reported on Monday. The move came just days after campaign finance lawyers told the Daily Caller that Ocasio-Cortez’s position as a governor of Justice Democrats could be a legal conflict because the PAC also...

Rethinking the Economic Recovery: A Global Green New Deal In a stunning revelation from a 2009 UN document titled “Rethinking the Economic Recovery: A Global Green New Deal“, it is discovered that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ (AOC) Green New Deal is not a new movement of the people, but rather a crafty (and plagiarized) creation of a small group of global elite working through the United Nations. This 144-page report was headed by Edward B. Barbier, a professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Wyoming at the time, but specifically prepared for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused President Donald Trump of signaling to white supremacists that he would “look the other way” as they commit acts of violence. After the New Zealand mosque shootings by an self-described white supremacist, a reporter asked Trump if he saw white nationalism as a rising threat around the world. “I don't really. I think it's a small group of people that have very, very serious problems,” Trump replied, before saying he did not at that time know much about the details of the New Zealand attack but that it was "certainly a terrible thing.”

Helicopter parenting, the practice of hovering anxiously near one’s children, monitoring their every activity, is so 20th century. Some affluent mothers and fathers now are more like snowplows: machines chugging ahead, clearing any obstacles in their child’s path to success, so they don’t have to encounter failure, frustration or lost opportunities. – NYT Snowplowing, more appropriately known as bulldozing, is a large reason why millennials, and now the GenZ cohort, are having trouble in life and at work. A third of millennials fail to even make it through their three-month probation periods. It appears when left to their own...

More registered voters in the state of New York view President Trump favorably than outspoken left-wing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., according to the latest poll numbers from the Siena College Research Institute. While neither politician crossed the 40 favorability percent threshold, Trump had the backing of 36 percent of people surveyed, compared to Ocasio-Cortez's 31 percent. Trump, though, triggered a larger group of people who viewed him unfavorably, 60 percent, compared to Ocasio-Cortez's 44 percent. Large portions of those surveyed said they were unfamiliar with the first-term lawmaker representing Queens and the Bronx. Ocasio-Cortez receives the majority of her support...

by Jenn Carter More bad news for the Socialist talking parrot, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. A new poll of her fellow New Yorkers from Siena College blames Socialist Ocasio-Cortez as the biggest "villain" in Amazon cancelling its plans to move their headquarters to New York City. A new poll shows that after the cancellation of the deal that would have brought Amazon to Queens, New York, along with an estimated 25,000 jobs, a cancellation which Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) championed, more than three times as many respondents viewed her as a villain rather than a hero. The findings of the Siena College...

As I mentioned earlier, AOC is MELTING DOWN at that fact that the more people know her… the LESS they like her. According to Fox News: U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s unfavorable rating has spiked after just months in Congress, with most of the public viewing her negatively rather than favorably, a new poll shows. The New York Democrat shot to fame amid the party’s lurch to the left and embracement of socialist policies such as the Green New Deal, yet the more people learned about the 29-year-old freshman congresswoman, the more they were turned off by her. If by “turned...

limate change activism is increasingly the domain of the young, such as 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, the unlikely face of the school strike for climate movement, which has seen many thousands of children walk out of school to demand that their parents’ generation takes responsibility for leaving them a planet to live on. In comparison, the existing political establishment looks more and more like an impediment to change. The consequences of global warming have moved from the merely theoretical and predicted to observable reality over the past few years, but this has not been matched by an uptick in urgency. The...

I've been listening to the latest Dem candidates and their stump spiel. More than one has been saying to the voting public that they must be elected to stop global warming or we will all be dead in 12 years. I had been wondering what light bulb has been predicting death in 12 years and have yet to hear any "mainstream" science on this subject. I decided to do a hypothetical that one of these bozo's was elected and given any kind of power at all. Think of it this way,....You really believe that the world is ending in 12...
