Looking closely at the life of Muhammad, we find that he was a superstitious man and many of his superstitions became part of the religion that originated with him – Islam. One aspect in which this is manifest is in his attitude toward dogs. He made a number of irrational comments about dogs. His beliefs on dogs may have come from various sources such as cultural bias, pagan concepts, demonic influences, or perhaps from his own imagination.
