Protecting the planet's greatest symbol of oppression. Currently, the Burka stands as the planet’s greatest symbol of oppression. The oh-so-feminist left will attack you as a racist if you admit that, and Apologists will try to pretend it’s an instrument of “respect,” but it’s true. There’s simply no sane way to argue otherwise. It’s a reprehensible garment that speaks of subjugation, patriarchy, ownership, and invisible suffering. ...And Amazon will not tolerate anyone selling an item that mocks it. Until recently, this item was for sale on the shopping mega-site:

Not content with next-day delivery service through its Prime program, Amazon wants orders to land on people’s front porches in as little as half an hour. Just when you thought the technology industry couldn’t get any stranger, the latest idea from the retail giant is to offer an audacious delivery-by-drone service. …

Union Verdi is preparing more strikes to step up pressure on Amazon in Germany, its biggest market outside the United States, in a dispute over pay and conditions, German media reported. Workers at Amazon centers in Bad Hersfeld and Leipzig will walk out for at least one day on Monday, Heiner Reimann of Verdi told daily Stuttgarter Nachrichten. The union has organized several short strikes this year in a bid to force the world's biggest Internet retailer to accept a collective agreement on employment conditions similar to deals for the mail order and retail sector, which are more generous than...

I have purchased a copy of The World Almanac and Book of Facts every single year since the 1971 edition (this would have been my 43rd consecutive issue). Several years ago I switched from the cheap paperback copies to the hardcover simply because the type is a little larger and easier to read. At first I ordered them through bookstores but the past couple years I have ordered them online. I placed my order for the hardback edition of the 2013 World Almanac from Amazon.com back on the first of August. At first they told me its mailing date would...

All Seth Horvitz wanted was a Westinghouse 39-inch LED television. Instead, he got a high-caliber, semi-automatic assault rifle. The Washington resident, who had ordered the television through a third-party vendor on Amazon.com, first realized that something wasn't quite right when a long, narrow box showed up at his apartment Tuesday, DCist reported.

I was heartened to see the disgust with which people reacted to the news of this book being sold on Amazon, but this public outcry is too little, too late. Boycotting Amazon for carrying this title not only has been tried before (and failed), but it ignores the root causes of the problem. On sites like Blogher the calls for Amazon to remove one of Greaves’ books are little more than demands that Amazon hide the reality of the well organized pro-pedophilia movement which has been empowered both by the rise of the Internet and our own inability to confront...

According to Amazon, last month the state of Texas issued the company an assessment of $269 million for uncollected sales taxes for a four year period from Dec. 2005 to Dec. 2009. Amazon says the assessment is "without merit" and says it intends to "vigorously defend" itself in the matter.

Texas has sent Amazon .com Inc. a $269 million bill for uncollected sales taxes on purchases made by state residents from the Seattle-based Internet superstore over a four-year period. Now that Texas has gotten tough with the No. 1 online retailer, other states could be tempted to pile on with their own assessments as local governments face huge shortfalls, analysts said. Recent estimates put Texas' two-year budget shortfall at as much as $21 billion.

Taking a break from all the screaming, yelling, and gnashing of teeth that the Obamacare Health Illusion has generated, I chanced upon this while I was looking at an article on another site. It seems some 'enterprising' business (pun very intended) has manufactured not one but THREE perfumes and colognes for fans of the "Star Trek" universe.

Truly amazing: the power of Glenn Beck. He mentioned A Patriot's History of the U.S. today on his radio show, then again on the TV show, and lo and behold, #1. Big stuff happening. Can't tell all yet, but watch our web pages, www.patriotshistoryusa.com and www.rockinthewall.com. Oh, and if anyone knows how to do a screen saver, I'd like to bronze this one.

...To see how much these items cost, shoppers must add the merchandise to their shopping carts — in effect, taking it up to the virtual register for a price check... In many cases that freedom stems from a 2007 Supreme Court ruling in the case of Leegin Creative Leather Products v. PSKS. The ruling gave manufacturers considerably more leeway to dictate retail prices, once considered a violation of antitrust law, and it set a high legal hurdle for retailers to prove that this is bad for consumers. ...retailers say manufacturers have become increasingly aggressive with one tool in particular: forbidding...

f you visited Amazon.com this weekend, hoping to buy a book that happened to have been published by MacMillan, you got a rude surprise. You couldn’t do it. Whether you hoped to buy an e-book for the Kindle, or an old-fashioned physical book, Amazon wouldn’t sell it to you. In a protest against the pricing model that MacMillan and other publishers had negotiated with Apple for the iBookstore, Amazon simply removed the “buy” button from MacMillan’s books. The protest didn’t last very long — just long enough to be noticed and to make the New York Times on the evening...

A man in the U.S. has 'bought' an item on Amazon with a price tag of nearly three billion dollars - just to see what would happen. Brian Klug spotted the copy of the Discovery Channel's 'Cells' CD-ROM for sale at $2,904,980,000 (£1,800,979,540). Out of sheer curiosity, convinced the price tag was a mistake, he put in his credit card details to buy it and stepped back to see what would happen next. First off, Mr Klug from San Mateo, California, was charged $3.99 for posting and handling. Mr Klug has posted on the Reddit website links to the Amazon...

After the disasterous weekend, with the internet abuzz over a new policy to remove sales rankings from books deemed "adult," a new theory is developing that Seattle-based Amazon was the victim of conservative cyber-vandals. It was discovered that Amazon has been removing the sales rank from certain books (which identifies how popular the book is in total sales), effectively removing the book from most of the general searches people would do. If it doesn't show up in the search, most people won't find the book, and won't buy it. Most of the books identified as "adult" and removed from the...

At least 139 to over 200 negative reviews of radical democrat/socialist Nancy Pelosi`s book,Know Your Power: A Message to America's Daughters have been deleted. Compare that with anyone of Ann Coulter`s books, say,Godless: The Church of Liberalism which has not been purged of about 308 negative reviews. Or The Obama Nation by Jerome R Corsi with it`s 32 negative reviews out of a total of 84. The radical left clearly cannot tolerate dissent, open forum debates and free speech. This identical tactic is used by the Youtube account holders BarackObamadotcom, the offical YT account of B.Hussein Obama. Screen shot of...

Amazing isn't it, how so many people got to review "The Truth About Hillary" even before it was released? All panned it, too. Not too surprising--when a good conservative book comes out, the moonbats rush to amazon.com to condemn it. Don't bother buying or reading it, just get on there and spew. Just go to the page on amazon.com and spot the "one star" reviews. Thankfully some of us have responded: "I don't see how anyone could have possibly reviewed this book since it is only being released today. How is that possible Amazon? A member of the media reported...
