CNN: Alex Sink’s campaign violated rules Monday evening at the CNN/St. Petersburg Times Florida gubernatorial debate when her make-up artist delivered a message during a television break. Sink, the Democratic nominee, was shown a two-sentence message on a cell phone that offered her advice during the debate. Republican nominee Rick Scott who was sitting next to her in this nationally televised debate, noticed the violation and notified a CNN official, who approached the make-up artist and Sink and confiscated the cell phone. The message read: “The attorney who [w]on the Sykes suit said alex sink did nothing wrong. Tell not...

The latest CNN/Time Opinion Research Corporation poll shows a tight race for governor in Florida, with Republican Rick Scott receiving 49 percent of the vote and Democrat Alex Sink with 46 percent. Scott's modest lead is one point greater than the same survey found in late September. The poll of likely voters also looked at Florida's increasingly predictable Senate race, in which Republican Marco Rubio now leads by 14 percentage points. The spread was 11 points in late September. Rubio has 46 percent support, compared to Gov. Charlie Crist with 32 percent and Kendrick Meek with 20 percent.

ST. PETERSBURG — In her strongest language yet, Democrat Alex Sink blasted Republican rival Rick Scott as a mystery candidate who is trying to buy his way into the Governor's Office, "doesn't know zip about Florida" and whose proposals are "totally unrealistic." ...Sink said she believes that voters who support Scott in the polls know about his history, but "maybe they don't care —- or are just so angry with the state of affairs we find ourselves in, they put their beliefs aside and think that it's not that important." "I don't know what they're thinking," she added, "because it's...

This race will be about one thing: Rick Scott paid the largest fine in U.S. history for "robbing seniors". Sink and the Dems and the media will not differentiate between Scott and his company. This race will not be about issues - it will be about Rick Scott and about how he is a so-called felon. Yes - I know he won the primary, but this ain't good.

TAMPA - Alex Sink, wife of defeated gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride, is considering a run for the U.S. Senate. "I'm giving it real thought," said Sink, the former Florida chief for Bank of America. "I think I would have a chance, and I know I could put together a great team of people. I have friends all over the state. I don't have to say, 'I'm going to Pensacola - who does somebody know there?"' In November, McBride lost in his bid to prevent Gov. Jeb Bush from becoming the first Republican to be re-elected to Florida's highest office. The...
