VIRGINIA BEACH Police said they have charged a man after a suspicious package was found at Gate 5 of Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story on Wednesday. Khalid Mohamed Abdalla, 28, was charged with threatening to bomb, according to a police news release. Abdalla, of the 4600 block of Freedom Court, is being held without bond in jail. Eleven Egyptian students who were supposed to travel to a Montana university after flying to JFK airport late last month disappeared in New York, spurring federal authorities to issue a nationwide alert, officials said yesterday. Al Qaeda suspect sent to U.S. Kenyan authorities have extradited a suspected al-Qaeda terrorist to the United States. The suspect, identified as Suleiman Abdalla, has been accused of involvement in the bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. At least 230 people were killed in those attacks.
