US forces have taken into custody a Ba'ath Party member who was ranked 28 on America's list of the 55 most wanted Iraqis. Regional command member Fadil Mahmud Gharib was captured in the last 24 hours, a US defence official said on Tuesday. US Central Command identified Gharib as a member of toppled President Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party regional command and chairman for the Babil district.
