Just a curiosity, how many young FReepers are out there? It truly is a rarity to see a young, intelligent conservative. I myself am a convert, I'm a recovering Lib. So speak up!! Male or Female, it matters not. If there are quite a few in the Houston, TX area, I was thinking of maybe a meeting up of sorts. I think it would be wonderful to band togather in supporting our country!! Thanks, PV

NEW YORK — If the so-called Gen-Xers were slackers in their youth, then they are proving to be anything but in parenthood.

In fact, if recent surveys are any indication, the generation born in the late 1960s and '70s — many of whom are only now starting to have families — are embracing a much more conventional, discipline-oriented approach to raising children than their baby-boom predecessors.

Stop Hate in the Form of 80's Stereotyping! Daily Rot 1/7/02 What's with all the "eighties-bashing" all of a sudden? I can take a good-natured jab like anybody else about most decades, but the EIGHTIES?!! That's my turf. I resent being labelled "That Eighties Guy," like I'm Ramses The Great or something. That was not a decade of which one should make sport. It was one thing when they came up with "That 70's Show." I never said anything, because it's just a stupid T.V. show, you know? So I will disregard the intrusive, abusive, and slanderous deference to that ...

NEW YORK — As people gear up for couples parties and midnight kisses this New Year's Eve, some men might find dates a little harder to come by.

2000 Census statistics and a recent poll by the online dating service Match.com suggest a shortage of single, available women in the mid-20 to mid-30 range, as compared to single, available men. The Match.com study, conducted last month, found 58 percent of men surveyed believe single women are scarcer this year than two years ago.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - When it comes to predicting whether or not a heterosexual romantic relationship is going to last, the female partner's friends seem to be particularly astute, according to new study findings. The couple's joint friends are often good at predicting the success of the relationship as well, researchers report. ``People often turn to their friends for social support; however, we don't always believe that relationship 'outsiders' can offer truly useful insight regarding our own relationship,'' lead study author Dr. Christopher R. Agnew of Purdue University in Indiana told Reuters Health. ``Yet our study suggests that our ...

  • Men Must Champion Feminine Women

    Toogood Reports ^ | December 5, 2001 | Henry Makow Ph.D.
A feminine woman has the effect of a sunrise on a man's soul. In the words of novelist Alex Waugh, she draws a man "into a magic circle where everything is fresher, cleaner; where there is peace, warmth, comfort. She produces in him the desire to be his best." Nothing on earth is so fine. On this continent, increasingly nothing is so rare. The Official State Gender Ideology, feminism, has decreed that femininity is a "stereotype" invented by men to oppress women. Feminism is no longer about equal opportunity for women. It is a thuggish, devious synthesis of Marxism and ...

An explosive story in the new edition of Vanity Fair has already reverberated in the office of Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), as staffer Diana Davis resigned Tuesday for playing the lead role in the steamy kiss-and-tell article. Written as a post-Condit survey of the social scene on the Hill, the report treats readers to a minute-by-minute account of the blond staffer's conquests and relentless networking into the wee hours of the morning. The story opens in the Hill bar Politiki, where Davis sports what she calls her "fake 'n' bake" tan. "Amid the sea of pasty faces and dark Banana ...
  • Many U.S. College Students Not Using Condoms

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Although US college students are at risk for sexually transmitted infection (STI), most do not use condoms consistently, new research shows. Dr. Marla Eisenberg of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, looked at sexual health behaviors among more than 8,500 undergraduate students nationwide. The students filled out anonymous surveys as part of the 1997 College Alcohol Study. Although almost three-quarters (71%) said they were sexually experienced, less than half (43%) said they always used condoms and almost a quarter (24%) said they never did. The results appear in the December issue of ...

On the FrontlinesAmerican women can help defeat terrorists by abandoning the politics of 'victimization'By Manon McKinnonFor KRT News Service"This is no time to go wobbly," the strong-minded Margaret Thatcher once famously cautioned an American wartime President. That decade-old advice - to the first President Bush - is still good. It is exactly what American women need to hear now. These are serious times. Having come face to face with a dangerous world, women, too, must become serious. It is time to abandon to weakness of victimization and return to the strength that females have marshaled throughout this country's history.Being aggrieved ...
