When men and women both learn to respect each other and treat each other as they would like to be treated, this problem will go away. It's not a problem of numbers. How many times have you heard, "are there any decent guys out there?" or "the girls out there are almost all head cases!"

That's reassuring news for women who have long felt like they were the ones biting and clawing for quality men.

Yeah but it sucks for us low quality men. I'm never going to score! Heh-heh.

Yeah, that'll happen...

What does everyone think about just keeping relationships simple?

For instance, guys do the chores (do the dishes, wash some clothes, whatever), talk to your wife for at least 15 minutes a day completely undisturbed (that means turn the TV off), tell her you love her, tell her she is beautiful (even if some of the "shine" has worn off), get her some flowers every so often, and, if you have kids, be a involved father. These are pretty simple.

Gals, you have it easy: don't let yourself "go" and have sex with us (preferably everyday, but once a week is sufficient).

I don't mean to be a pig, but this seems like a pretty fair trade off, does it not?

Well this article (and beer) go a long way towards explaining why Chelsea has a date.

Not to worry -- there are plenty of low-quality women out there. ;)

Yeah, right! Decent guys finish last. Personal observation indicates most women 'want' the bad boys yet will publicly profess to seek the decent guys.
Big difference between what they say and what they do.

This pretty much sums up my relationship with my wife.
But don't be so petty as to require no prior baggage,ie:children, prior marriage, age.
My lovely wife is a few years older than I am, and had 2 boys from a previous marriage. Find a good Godly woman and treat each other with respect and love and you'll probably end up happy.
Most guys aren't looking for Miss Right, they want Miss Right Now. Know the difference. Freegards

No doubt.

Interestingly, this all goes back to Mazlow's hierarchy of needs. Most women will get very hung up on a man doing the basic stuff (dishes, clothes, cleaning the bathroom). These days, if a guy doesn't pitch in around the house, they feel like they are being taken advantage of. There a no June Cleaver's out there anymore, and frankly, I don't know that I would want that if there was (though, fresh baked pies are very tasty...yummm).

Guys are much more primal. Eat, sleep, sex. Or, sex, eat, sex, sleep, sex...or something like that.

For the roughly 5 million never-married men 30-39, there are only about 3.6 million never-married women 25-29.

Well, duhhhhh. 5 million never-married men 30-39 means 500,000 per year. 3.6 million ever-married women 25-29 means 720,000 per year. Sounds to me like the surplus is in women, not men . . .

I recommend sleazy bars, preferably within walking distance of a trailer park.

"It definitely feels like there are less quality women out there," said Rengan Rajaratnam, 31, a hedge fund analyst in New York. "I stress about it. It's like they've all gone away or someone snatched them all."

You snooze, you lose, buddy.

"It looks like men are more interested in relationships today versus a year ago," said Trish McDermott, a founding member of Match.com. "The type of relationship they are likely to say they're interested in is shifting toward commitment and marriage."

People who are looking for a committed relationship may be in trouble. Most of these single men and women have lived with others in a non-committed relationship. They have had more sex partners than Don Juan. Later in life, they start thinking about settling down. I wonder if these "committed" relationships will work out for people who are in their thirties and have never had a committed relationship, unless they have had a puppy or a cat.

I noticed that the emphasis is also on quality mates. Someone who has lived a hedonistic lifestyle for many years is hardly a potential quality mate.
