TURKEY AWARDS ISRAEL HELICOPTER UPGRADE ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has awarded another military upgrade project to Israel. Turkish officials said Ankara's Defense Ministry awarded the state-owned Israel Military Industries a project to upgrade up to 300 military helicopters. They said the Israeli company will install a range of electronic and defense systems in a deal valued at $110 million. The modernization agreement was signed late last month by IMI and Turkey's Defense Ministry's Undersecretariat for Defense Industries.
