  • Freerepublic not loading correctly on android phone

    12/26/2025 11:44:55 AM PST · by Joshua · 75 replies
Recently freerepublic stopped loading correctly on my Samsung phone. The spacing between lines are off and the font is too small and can't be adjusted to fit the page correctly. I've tried all the options on the phone, and returned to my carrier to fix it. They claim it has to be a website problem. Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to correct it?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he is prepared to call a national referendum on a peace plan developed with U.S. President Donald Trump, should Russia agree to a 60-day ceasefire. The potential plebiscite could determine the fate of a United States-mediated framework aimed at ending Russia’s nearly four-year invasion of Ukraine. Speaking with Axios ahead of a planned Sunday meeting with Trump in Florida, Zelensky said the proposal is “about 90 percent ready” and includes codified agreements on security guarantees and economic reconstruction. But he acknowledged that key issues remain unresolved. “If the plan demands a very difficult decision on...

He states that the Justice Department has uncovered over a million additional hidden files related to Epstein in the Southern District of New York, which were allegedly concealed by James Comey and his daughter and not fully turned over earlier. These files are described as damaging to Democrats. Jones recounts that the CIA approached Donald Trump as president-elect, informing him that Epstein conducted money laundering operations for them dating back to...

American troops may be deployed on the ground after the US's bombing of ISIS targets, a Nigerian official has suggested. The foreign affairs minister said his government had not ruled out working with US servicemen, something Donald Trump has suggested in recent weeks. Yusuf Tuggar said the issue would be something for the Nigerian government to 'consider', when asked by CNN about Trump's threats to send in the US military 'guns-a-blazing' this week. On Thursday the Pentagon said the Nigerian government approved the strikes and collaborated with the US military to carry them out. However, the official also pushed back...

According to French publication Le Parisien, the attacks took place between 4:15pm and 4:45pm at the Arts-et-Métiers, République, and Opéra metro stations. In the years preceding the advent of central heating and high-precision weather forecasting, winter brought with it a definite sense of unease and danger. Whereas today a tough winter might just mean spending a bit more time inside, for years, a brutal winter could bring with it death, disease, and total isolation. Whether it be through cataclysmic volcanic winters or historically unprecedented blizzards, these devastating winters had far greater consequences than mere travel delays and hours spent shoveling snow. The Great Frost of 1709 Known as Le Grand Hiver (the Great Winter) in France, the Great Frost was a winter...

AUSTIN MAN banged on the locked glass doors of Padrón Elementary as students arrived for class, screaming "I'm going to go inside and kill, I'm gonna find a way to get in." Michael Nnaji has racked up 34 cases since 2019. Nnaji was once caught in an apartment gym—completely nude except for sandals—admiring his physique in the mirrors. He then picked up a heavy kettlebell and hurled it repeatedly through a glass office door until it shattered. Prosecutors dismissed it. His record of leniency: • Robbery was reduced to misdemeanor • 7 felony Evading Arrests all dismissed or reduced •...

Explanation: What was so super about Wednesday's supermoon? Last week, a full moon occurred that appeared slightly larger and brighter than usual. The reason is that the Moon's fully illuminated phase occurred within a short time from perigee - when the Moon was its closest to the Earth in its elliptical orbit. Although the precise conditions that define a supermoon vary, last Wednesday's supermoon was surely the closest, largest, and brightest full moon this year. One reason supermoons are popular is because they are so easy to see -- just go outside at sunset and watch an impressive full moon...

President Trump on Thursday released another Christmas statement, slamming the Democrats over the Epstein controversy, which he described as a “Radical Left Witch Hunt.” “Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT,” Trump said of the Democrat politicians who associated with the late pedophile. But now, the Democrats “blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did...

Christians were a majority until the 1980s; today they are roughly one-third, living under growing pressure from a Muslim majority. Pilgrims attend Mass at the Maronite monastery of St. Maron, which houses the shrine of Saint Charbel, in the mountain village of Annaya on November 12, 2025. JOSEPH EID / AFP. Christians in Lebanon have declined from a demographic majority to a minority. Lebanon was majority-Christian starting from the first century (when Christianity was introduced by figures such as St. Peter and St. Paul) until the mid-20th century. Mount Lebanon, which remains the Christian heartland of the country, is frequently...

Far-left Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) likened Jesus, Mary, and Joseph to illegal migrants in a Christmas Day post depicting a nativity scene being raided by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). “May this be the last Christmas we live this nightmare,” the California congressman wrote on X, along with a photo of spray-painted ICE agents breaking into the Bethlehem stable where Jesus was born. […] The prevalent left-wing claim that Jesus was a refugee is considered by many Christians to be historically inaccurate. As Breitbart News’s Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D., described, Jesus was born in Joseph’s ancestral hometown of Bethlehem, after...

The Anti-Defamation League accused Megyn Kelly of using an antisemitic trope against Ben Shapiro and victim-blaming Bari Weiss after Kelly outrageously claimed the two, who are Jewish, are causing antisemitism. The organization pointed to Kelly’s recent allegation that Shapiro, a prominent conservative commentator, and Weiss, the editor in chief of CBS News, are “making antisemites” by trying to silence criticism of Israel, as well as Kelly’s characterization of Shapiro as being “Israel first.” “Megyn Kelly’s recent comments cross a dangerous line. Accusing Jews of “making antisemites” blames Jewish people for the hate directed against them — a classic victim-blaming trope,”...

Of all the wars I have covered over the past 50 years, this is one of the fiercest and, to be sure, the most forgotten. “Do you know,” says Suliman, former attaché at the Sudanese embassy in France, who joined the army as soon as the fighting began, in April 2023, and will accompany me for a large part of my reporting, “that this war—the fourth the country has known since its independence—has already produced 12 million displaced people and 150,000 civilian victims?” We are in the arrivals hall of Port Sudan International Airport, 20 kilometers south of the city,...

The expansion of so-called drag churches in the United States once again opens a deep and necessary debate about the limits between freedom of expression, religious practice, and ideological imposition. Recent statements by a drag performer during a religious service—presented as an act of “spirituality,” self-exploration, and personal liberation—clearly illustrate how certain sacred spaces are being deliberately transformed into stages for identity-based activism. The central problem is not merely the existence of these churches, but the messages being conveyed within them, especially when, as seen at the beginning of the video, children are present. The concern is legitimate: how will...
